Agree on all but that last part. I don't think his numbers would be quite as ridiculously good today, players really are bigger and faster now.

Already admitted I missed the joke.
All of this talk is interesting. All we have are the stats from older players and of course us older folks saw some of them. One thing I don’t think we can account for though is how much everyone is a product of their environment. For instance if Rice had been born 30 years later and had the benefits of modern training and stuff would he really be just average today? I don’t think so.

trojanfan has made many posts like this...are we saying Rice jumps in a time machine in 1984 and shows up today? Or does that same human with the same innate athletic ability grow up 35 years later with modern advances in training and whatever.

I think that's more relevant to much older players, like Ruth. I doubt that same kid growing up today would be eating a ton of hot dogs before every game and partying all week like Ruth did. But training and nutrition isn't that different since Rice played, he was already a maniac about training then. Never said he'd be average, he'd still be good even great but not hands down GOAT level IMO. Because many other players now do what he did, train like he did, etc. Better athletes go into pro sports every decade as the money gets ridiculous.

Probably need to get the prostate checked too....maybe get a 2 for 1 deal with the DR. LOL.

I mean, if you're 52 and haven't been to the doctor in awhile, I'm pretty sure they're gonna give you the full works. Just be prepared for the lecture you're gonna hear when you tell them your diet.

If you've never had one before (even if you have) that's a must.

Just saw it a few days ago......kind of a lame ending I thought.

It’s kinda on point

But they also refused to commit to anything and they didn’t even show why he did anything
