Cooley will make GTown better and I think it would be great to have a rivalry between the two teams. I really like Willard so far.
I love it that we might be back. I hate the Terps. Should make for some good banter moving forward.

I had a friend that played for Georgetown back in the Sleepy Floyd years. His sister was academic advisor to Big John. He told great stories about John. I am sure there will be some banter. I have rooted for Maryland since Lefty's first year.

Those were the days. I can't believe how far they have fallen.

Can this guy Cooley recruit. Lately even when Georgetown gets someone they leave for Maryland or somewhere else.

He has done fairly well at Providence. I was a fan of Patrick's but the coaching was just not there. Most here in town think he is a good hire.

Knowing he and Willard were friends in the Big East makes me think they might start playing each other ... something John and Lefty wouldn't do .... in part because of recruiting worries.

NCAA is becoming more like the NBA with NIL and the portal. Players are going to come and go depending oh whether they think it benefits them. The guys MD got from Georgetown, in particular Wahab was bad. Carey was so-so. Coaches today still have to be good recruiters but they are going to have to be smart about the portal. Willard had no choice as he only had 4 players on MD's roster that were good enough to play this past year.

Appreciate it. I used to be all over college basketball and was very knowledgeable about it. The losing just took its toll, not to mention basically the death of the old Big East.

I'm gonna get back into it.

The Camel Clutch.
I can almost name more dead wrestlers than living. I believe steroids took a heavy toll on these guys and they are dropping like flies. I am not sure if we didn't have the knowledge of steroid damage or was it ignored.

An entire new front office .... they wanted to get rid of Beal's terrible contract. I think Porzingis and Kuzman don't want to come back.
Beal and Porzingis had most all the power in these situations. Beal could literally reject any trade with his NTC and Porzingis had to opt in for any type of deal to be competed.

The league knew this and took advantage of the situation. I would think GMs are taking note of how harmful a NTC is. Shephard simply wrecked the team. There is literally nothing to show for the wall saga. I guess Monte Morris is the last man standing. At least porzingis opted in so we could get something. Beal was not going to get us much given the absurd contract, NTC, and his health. Kuzma leaving gives us nothing. He should have been traded last deadline.

I am disappointed these trades did not yield any 1st round picks. That hurts. Perhaps Chris paul gets traded today? Who knows if tyrus jones sticks around? The bottom line is that they are ripping the bandaid off and it will sting for a bit. The massive hauls that the fans and bleacher report suggested we would get for Beal and Porzingis was never going to happen. I think winger and dawkins are clearing the books so they can rebuild correctly.

A good GM makes all the difference...lol
Sorry, I had to say it!
