Lakers on mle?
I would love to have the Sixers let Harden walk and then get involved here with the ability to offer the full midlevel. I would say the Embiid Maxey Nurse whatever you can bring back for Tobias Harris situation may not be able to compete with others out there. But if dude is only going to get one chip you might as well go win that ring in a sports crazy city to break a 40+ year championship drought.

I’m surprised by this

The only way this makes sense is if Paul is gonna pull a harden and resign for the vet minimum thus taken less to open up room for the mle to add a key bench player

Cause otherwise…I’m baffled

Yeah. With the Suns situation, they need players to put around KD/Booker and they have very limited options. Even with CP3 in his diminished state, its not like they can go out and get someone better. I need to find some hard numbers on their cap ramifications, but I can't imagine how this is their best option unless they plan to re-sign him. And I would think if that was the plan, that would have come out with this news. It's not like some team is gonna claim him in waivers and take on the 30+ mil just to keep the Suns from getting him back.

EDIT: Just looking at their situation on spotrac, it looks like if they waive him that will put them under the 2nd tax floor which will open them up to use the MLE and give them more options for trading Ayton. That makes more sense. If they stretch him though, they can't re-sign him. This makes a little more sense with what they are doing but its still a wild move. They really need to nail the Ayton trade

Idk who you’re getting that’s better than Harris

You also have the issue that 3 of your 4 best players are under 6-4

I worry less about that now that they have Nurse. You may be right about Tobias Harris in a Harden is gone scenario. It really depends on what comes back.

Adam Silver talking expansion. If Seattle and Vegas get teams does that mean Minnesota finally becomes East as they should be?

Both have a strong case. I think based on location Minnesota ends up traveling more than any other team, but Memphis is slighly more to the East. They really should both be east, but you need more teams that fit for the west before it can happen.

Seattle and Vegas seem to be a start. Need a relocation to the West. I can’t think of an untaken destination out there. I guess Charlotte or Orlando would be candidates to be potentially moved West? No offense but that seems like a lot of work and a lot of force fitting to placate a mid franchise.
