I still can’t believe the Lakers didn’t just keep Conley.
Then you pivot to run it with Embiid/Maxey and use the cap space to sign some role players around them that fit. If the new CBA will do away with the 3 star model then the Sixers will be aligned with that. The problem with this theory is that with these new rules and such the fa market isn’t likely to ever look like it used to
Which was the point
And yes, another reason we can’t have nice things
46.9 LebronNot only that but you’d only have some version of the mle to replace him
You’re at about 100m for 4 players
Reeves will count…I think it was 12.5 against the cap this year
Rui likely on the same range let’s call it 14.5 for round numbers
That puts you at 127m with 6 players use the big mle and you’re at 140m (round up) for 7
You’d need another 16m for all minimum contracts on the bench
Not even sure you’re not over the hard cap at that point
And that would including trading your first this year for a future first
Agreed. That guys seems to be a perfect fitI still can’t believe the Lakers didn’t just keep Conley.

Bad choice because the LeBron AD window is now. Additionally, a future with DLo isn’t going anywhere.Yep, that was my preference. Might have had Alexander-Walker in the mix too (ended up with the Wolves) and could've saved a 2nd rounder (and the Jazz could've saved 2 2nds)?
Lakers went for supposed upside over diminishing vet moxie I guess...

Was it a huge leap though or was he the only option on a marginal team and therefore got a ton of shots. He averaged 21 on 18 shots in his best year in Brooklyn.Yeah after DLo took that huge leap forward under Atkinson I thought he had a chance
But he’s never followed that up

My point is that’s a hedge. For me, once I sign LeBron, I’m fully committed to that window. The Conley move is consistent with that. The DLo move is just a hedge that really leads nowhereDLo isn't expected to lead the team, he's a 3rd or 4th option that can get his own shot and create. Trying to build a younger core behind Lebron and AD I guess.
Yeah a better fit than DLo. Better defender, better shooter. Not the scorer but we saw from the playoffs Conley would have added more.I still can’t believe the Lakers didn’t just keep Conley.

Damian Lillard: "I Want To Have An Opportunity To Win"
He called on the Trail Blazers to use their assets to build a contender, warning that a "separate conversation" will be necessary if they don't.www.hoopsrumors.com
IMO, This sounds like he’s ready to go
And that’s what Portland should do
And trade Simon’s
Tear it down to the studs
That is a very tough sell when you have the best player in the history of your organization in place. It may be the right move, but I don't know that they can sell that. They need to do better building around him and max out basically.
Not really when you have a prospect as good as scoot staring you in the face
What do you see as Scoot's comp?
He's always back in forth. He seems confused. He always talks about legacy and being loyal but then he says he wants to win.Damian Lillard: "I Want To Have An Opportunity To Win"
