You know what they say about opinions

Also a weird compaint for a fan of a team named the Thunder. At least they didn't choose a tribal name, and it was better than the other finalists; Barons, Bison, Energy, Marshalls, Wind. How the hell was Wind a finalist, lol?

Dude. You ok if someone calls their team the Darkskins or the Blackskins? How about the Yellowskins? You think Native Americans came up with that epithet themselves, or was it white people that didn't exactly mean it as a term of respect?

That one had to go too. Not a slur but pretty inaccurate. India has nothing to do with Native Americans.

By the way this is why I have no problem with names like the Seminoles or Blackhawks (and neither do Native Americans). Those are actual names for Native tribes. The Seminole Nation is on record as supportive of that name.

Yeah, but the tomahawk chop and the war cries that some teams with Native American nicknames do are pretty out of line. Braves, Chiefs, Seminoles, etc.

Is what it is. I have Native American relatives that had no problem with the Redskins. I fail to see how the Indians were any different than the Braves.

They chose to change it. Either way, Chief Wahoo had to go.

It is different though. Referring to Native Americans as Indians is a historical inaccuracy, as previously noted. Now, if the Cleveland franchise used symbols from India, would that be appropriate? Curry served at the park? It might link nicely to the river on fire in a wink wink nod nod kinda way...

We'll see how that works out...
Highest yearly amount and 3rd most guaranteed, about 70 percent guaranteed. I guess the market has been reset.

Not all guaranteed

The "all guaranteed" thing still way overblown. OK, so it wasn't 5 years but his deal is pretty much 3-4 years fully guaranteed. Just like Allen's is/was.
