My opinion is it's entirely possible that Zappe could be better but we'll now never know. Purdy has done a hell of a job but let's be real here, he went to a team with all the tools to lift up an inexperienced rookie QB while Zappe went to a shit show and still looked solid. What would Bailey have done if he was starting for the 9ers?

Both guys are identical height and weight and are both considered too small. I like what Purdy has done but what would've happened if he played for the Pats and started the same games that Zappe started?
What would have happened to Purdy if Jimmy or Trey were ready to come back after Purdy's first two starts?

Great question. My opinion is he'd be on the bench and SF likely wouldn't be playing this weekend. He just seems to understand how to operate that offense and utilize their abundance of playmakers very well. Not sure how he'd do on another team.

What will happen to him if the 49ers lose this weekend? Does the gig revert back to Lance?

The Trey Lance thing is remarkable when you consider what the 49ers gave up to go get him. The jury is obviously still out but that dude has GIANT BUST written all over him and San Fran actually spent a lot to move up and get him, an unproven "project QB".
But it seems the save themselves with a 7th round comp pick. That's a lot easier to swallow the Lance pick than the Jets get to do with their guy.

Nope. Rumors have already started that Shanahan has already had several conversations with one Tom Brady.

Say farewell to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garappollo if Shanahan can convince Brady to head west. He'd have a better team than he had two years ago at Tampa.

Add to this that the Hackett has already started making calls and the first one was to the Green Bay Packers in regard to Mr. Rogers.

AFC East will be a beast in 2023.

The rumor I heard is they are ready to commit to Purdy as "Their Guy".

Botton line is you do your homework, and hope for the best. There is no way of telling if a guy will be a bust for sure, you really just hope for the best. I would only term someone a bust if they were taken in round one and failed, but this is very much a shit happens scenario
If I hit on half or better of my picks, I'd call that success.
If I had a draft like our 2019, I'd call that failure.
If I got 2 out of seven but the 2 were all pros, I'd call that success.

On the offensive line, Arkansas center Ricky Stromberg drew praise from Patriots coaches during the team period after helping spring a big run. Stromberg described himself to Patriots Country earlier this week as a "physical player who has great football knowledge; someone who just loves football."

Brenton Cox Jr.
OLB with "issues".

Kicked off both GA Bulldogs and Florida Gators.

Bill is coaching him up right now at the shrine bowl.

He didn’t get kicked out of Georgia. He was a “portal transfer”. Wasn’t getting the playing time he wanted.

He definitely had to be a problem for Florida to let him go. But damn his highlight reel is impressive.
