That doesn’t mean those organizations will go full on retard like the Browns did. It wouldn’t surprise me if collusion accusations don’t come at some point, because I think the rest of the league will be pretty United against what the Browns did. We shall see I guess.
Is it retarded though in Jackson’s situation?

Oh absolutely it would be, he has shown No consistency and has regressed considerably. He head the league in QBR once, other years barely a top 10 qb on average.

I think that's more about "I'm not confident in my knee until there's hundreds of millions in my bank account"....

I think there's alotta truth behind that.

He hasn’t regressed much at all numbers wise. His last two seasons he played 12 games if you project his numbers out he’s statistically in range of his MVP season. Whether you like it or not, Lamar is considered a top ten QB in the NFL.

Lamar is greedy, that's all this comes down to. There is a difference between maximizing your worth and just being greedy. The Ravens went over the top for him and he still declined.

I disagree completely. This characterization is due to representing himself. If he had a top agent asking for the same numbers, he would avoid that criticism IMO. Either pay him or tag/trade him. It's simple, there will be takers.

@thunderc

Is this a potential problem in the off season?

Ravens' J.K. Dobbins rips Tyler Hundley, play calling: "We would have won with Lamar" (fromusatoday)

He shouldn’t say this, but it is the truth.

Maybe he went public with that comment because he sees the writing on the wall with Lamar and wants him to stay.

I think Baker Mayfield can be a top 10 QB. On a video game system.

Top 10 yes, that’s the entire point.

Let's not pretend that he's had more than 1 consistently worthy target or consistently healthy backs to work with. We all know his worth isn't going to show up well in traditional metrics.

Reality is Lamar shouldn't have played a game this year without a new contract. If he tore his ACL/achilles then all that potential money is gone

I agree.

His skill set isn’t one that ages well.

That is why is not likely to get the contract that he wants. Teams being scared of athletic regression is going to hold him back a lot more than failure to win playoff games.

1- completely agree

The Ravens are in a tough spot. If they don't pay him they don't have or will be able to find another QB as talented as him.

Don't follow the contract stuff but can the Ravens franchise tag Lamar for next season instead of giving him a big contract this off season?

Watson was a completely different situation, not comparable.

Lamar was offered more money per year and more guaranteed money in any QB other than Watson...he had his chance to get paid. That's on him...yes he has every right to bet on himself and then he suffered an injury. So far he is losing.

He deserves more than Watson clearly.

I think your characterization is hyperbole. Nobody has demonized the Ravens. It’s telling that you’re pussing out and not naming names.

He is talking about me.

But I didn’t demonize them at all.

All I said is that there is a possibility they are mishandling his injury.

Possibility.

They can, but he can also refuse to play under the tag.

So apparently when the Chargers were up 27-0, someone decided to place a $1.4 million bet on them to win. The payout would have been $11,000.

I don't understand that. I don't gamble, but I assume that if someone is betting that much, they feel they can afford to lose that much.

That being the case, it seems the bet to make would have been on the Jags. Sure, far greater chance you lose, but I'll bet the payout would be more tham $11k. lol

Ouch!

And that’s why he wants to get his numbers guaranteed. He knows the same reality you know.

I think Baker Mayfield can be a top 10 QB. On a video game system.

Only if he is controlling someone a lot better than himself.

Give him the Chiefs or the Bills?

Yeah, I like his chances!
