I asked a question, simple as that. Here’s another, why was the player the one providing injury updates?
Had to defend himself as the team was trying to make him look like the bad guy

Reality is Lamar shouldn't have played a game this year without a new contract. If he tore his ACL/achilles then all that potential money is gone
In the AFC hate guide thread just mentioned an article about Lamar. It's a mess in Baltimore. He feels that he's not appreciated.
Sounds about right. I give him a mulligan for year one. He needs a 10-2 regular season next year minimum for me to feel like the program is in good shape. Another top 10 recruiting class as well.@bksballer89 @fightinfunbags

from Fighting Irish wire
CBS sports grades Notre Dame's Marcus Freeman after his first season
They gave him a B.
Yep it's his own fault. He turned down $133M guaranteed on a six 6 deal. $49M per year. He is an idiot, just bc he wanted a guaranteed amount that was unrealistic. The Browns did fuck up the market but they were also in a circumstance like we have never seen in NFL history. Bidding over a top QB where he had basically ruled them out. They had to do something outrageous to get their guy. If other QB's can't see that than they are just stupid. Lamar honestly doesn't seem like a smart guy tbh....nobody in their right mind turns that down.He was offered a helluva contract, plus he still had a contract.
Bullshit the team said nothingHad to defend himself as the team was trying to make him look like the bad guy
Or they can kick the can down the road and use the franchise tag for the next two years before having to make a decision like Washington did with Cousins.Pay him $50M/year including a ton of guaranteed money or rebuild. I will say if there is a ton that can rebuild quick it would be Baltimore, problem is they have a system built around Lamar.
The browns didn’t mess up the market at all, they messed with unrealistic expectations. The market will right itself.Yep it's his own fault. Easier said than done considering the situation now. Both sides seem unhappy now and the relationship could be all but done.Or they can kick the can down the road and use the franchise tag for the next two years before having to make a decision like Washington did with Cousins.

Obviously it's unrealistic but you will see QB's getting more and more guaranteed money but will always fall short of the fully guaranteed. The browns didn’t mess up the market at all, they messed with unrealistic expectations. The market will right itself.
I disagree. If I’m Lamar I have about 8-10 years tops to maximize what I need to live on forever. I don’t play unless I’m 100%. No way he’s at 100% with that knee. If the Ravens wanted a guy to play at 75-80% they needed to give a player the security of a long term deal. They chose not to do that. That’s fair. The other side of that is a player with 100s of millions of dollars on the line isn’t going to risk that to play for a team that hasn’t committed to him.I don't care if you are up for a contract if you think you are worth that money and you are deemed healthy you play 100 out of 100 times. He is more about the money.
Well I said deemed healthy. If he is truly at 75% that is different.I disagree. If I’m Lamar I have about 8-10 years tops to maximize what I need to live on forever. I don’t play unless I’m 100%. You say it’s insane. Lamar has been an MVP in the league. He doesn’t have true free agency. At the same time, there are so many QB desperate franchises that it’s not hard to project that someone would have guaranteed the whole contract.Well I said deemed healthy. If he is truly at 75% that is different.
They TRIED to commit to him and he turned down an insane contract. Sorry, you can only do so much as a franchise. So really they went the extra mile to commit to him and he did not accept. The situation changes.
Fn hilarious that people are trying to demonize the Ravens in this. Their silence has been deafening on what’s going on with Jackson.Well I said deemed healthy. If he is truly at 75% that is different.

He can sit out then, up to him.You say it’s insane. Lamar has been an MVP in the league. He doesn’t have true free agency. At the same time, there are so many QB desperate franchises that it’s not hard to project that someone would have guaranteed the whole contract.
Who says his market value is $40 million? His market value is $40M which ranks 7th and the Ravens offer way more than that. If you didn't want to risk millions-accept the deal, the deal that would make you the close to the highest paid QB in 2023.
Oh just people here, no one is doing it that matters, people know what’s up.Who is demonizing the Ravens?
