Why? If they win the division with a higher win percentage? That's silly. They'll probably win it all now, haha.

I'm just tired of the reach-around. It's exhausting. If you swamp the Bengals logo for a Cowboy, Patriot, Steelers, Brady or Mahomes logo they wouldn't be going through this.

Yep Cinci has a right to be pissed and so do the fans that will now have to travel to a neutral site. Why? Just so they can have a bye week before the bowl yippppeeeee. Add in coin flips wow.

So moving forward who gets to decide if a team doesn't want to play anymore. Tua was all fucked up and they said get back out there now. Next time Fins should just go home instead of taking a loss? Not being insensitive but what precedent is being set now? Why not give teams options do you wish to play or forfeit? Same with players sit out if you want to. People shouldn't be that sensitive if that was me I'd hope they'd play on and win it for me.

What the fuck are you afraid of? You claim they're the best team in the league so by that standard doesn't matter how the playoffs are set.
That is pretty funny. To read his posts, the Eagles have a combination of the Rams Greatest Show on Turf offense and the 85 Bears defense but he's shitting himself over the prospect of playing the Seahawks lol

Obviously it's older fans than me, but I think I've watched enough to know what's going on ( 30 years ). Specifically, ever since Kimo Von Oelhoffen dirty tackle on Carson Palmer back in 05, I've been trying to figure out whose dick the Bengals gotta suck to get the VIP seats. Just point towards where and let's get this over with.

And for their trouble, they'll have a lower draft pick and have to play a first place schedule next year even if they start the playoffs on the road.

The NFL has officially declared the Bills and Bengals' Week 17 game a no contest.

This means the game is no longer in a state of postponement and will not be made up. It also means all statistics that were accumulated up to the point of the Monday evening postponement will be null and void. It's a tough development for fantasy managers who had championships riding on the outcome of Monday evening's game, but the only reasonable path forward for the league. The league has also announced it is implementing a number of playoff contingencies based on the results of this weekend's contest. If the Ravens beat the Bengals, for instance, the host of that Wild Card contest will be determined via coin flip. The AFC Championship Game could also be played at a neutral site if "the participating teams played an unequal number of games and both could have been the number one seed and hosted the game had all AFC clubs played a full 17-game regular season." This is because the seeding is now based on winning percentage instead of raw record and head-to-head tiebreakers. The league will formally vote on the proposal Friday, but we would expect it to pass.

Lmao "alas". What a dickhead. Fuck you too buddy.
That's Bull Shit. Is this true? You either play the game or you don't. Now that the game is cancelled you decide a division winner and all that goes with it just like you normally would. They have the better record and they should be recognized as division champs

"Meh, just deal with it"

Is not a rational response. It's besides the point- it's an insulting proposal if fairness was somehow the guiding aspect of it.
All I have to say is the Chiefs better win Saturday's game, otherwise I am going to be pissed the F off. A Chiefs loss with a Bengals win over the Bills, who the Bengals were abusing Monday, specifically T. White, this cost us the #1 seed. Of course assuming the Bengals beat the Ravens. No resting starters with the division well in hand, because we have to worry about a coin toss now.

Told you whatever happened the equity of this for the Bengals was going to be be badly skewed away from fairness for them. No resting starters after winning the division, they have to worry about a f'n coin flip now, which will decide how they practice, when they travel, how they prepare for a noisy, harsh Baltimore crowd and a division opponent that knows as well as anyone.

But when the discussions relate to possibly negatively impacting your team you cry like a little girl
It is quite obviously he doesn't like the Bengals or care. It is alright. Most Philly fans have been pretty understanding of the situation actually. I knew it was going to be a shit show, but I don't care as long as the Chiefs win. If they don't win, I am going to be pissed off.

Baffling the NFL opted for the CFB scenario village instead of their own rules. Say what you will about the NFL, but a big strength has always been you knew where you stood in the standings, and why.

Fairness goes two ways. The Ravens have been punished here as well. If the Bills had beaten the Bengals on Monday night, the Ravens are playing on Sunday for a home game and the 3 seed.

This is a strong divergence from your “there’s no way everyone will be happy here” stance from a few days ago. I’m sure though that this is just coincidence and has little to do with the Chiefs may have to play the AFC title game on a neutral field instead of at Arrowhead.
