Well then why the fuck the tears? The Ravens aren’t a great team even with Lamar.Huntley has beat us before, especially when our offense struggles against the Ravens defense.

Fairness goes two ways. The Ravens have been punished here as well. If the Bills had beaten the Bengals on Monday night, the Ravens are playing on Sunday for a home game and the 3 seed.
This is a strong divergence from your “there’s no way everyone will be happy here” stance from a few days ago. I’m sure though that this is just coincidence and has little to do with the Chiefs may having to play the AFC title game on a neutral field instead of at Arrowhead.
You’re a pretty intelligent person. I think you know why this is a one off situation and unprecedented. You can be honest. You were enticed with a gift. The Chiefs were looking at a bye and home field advantage despite losing head to head to the two best teams in the conference. Now that the gift may be amended to - get a bye but play a championship game on a neutral field, you can’t breath a sigh of relief that they don’t have to go to Buffalo where they surely take an L, instead you lament not having every layer of the miracle that landed in the chiefs lap that wasn’t earned.Baffling the NFL opted for the CFB scenario village instead of their own rules. Say what you will about the NFL, but a big strength has always been you knew where you stood in the standings, and why.
The Chiefs aren't really worth complaining about here, tbh. It's slightly annoying but they got the bye if they win on Saturday. The Bengals got straight up screwed for no reason and it's exactly arbitrary stuff like that I hated the idea of scenario village to begin with. You’re a pretty intelligent person. Sure it is if they win the division despite dropping a game vs a back up QB.Bengals are AFC North Champions and are being exposed to the risk of losing a home playoff game based off of a coin flip. That is in no way fair. And if that's a coinflip, why not others?
How did they get screwed? The coin toss isn’t likely to come into play unless they lose to a team that has averaged 11.9 PPG over their last 5. The Ravens are leaking oil with an injured QB they refused to pay who because of that won’t play hurt as his livelihood is on the line. The Chiefs aren't really worth complaining about here, tbh. Bet they could beat the Eagles.Well then why the fuck the tears? The Ravens aren’t a great team even with Lamar.
Cool. I disagree. Now what? Think the Bungles can nut up and handle Huntley and his 11.9 PPG?Bet they could beat the Eagles.
Okay, how about the Bengals winning Sunday, and the Bills winning and the Chiefs winning, and the Bengals are forced to take the 3 seed instead of what would have amounted to the #2 seed had the Bengals / Bills played and the Bengals won?How did they get screwed? You sure Huntley is playing?Cool. I disagree. Now what? Think the Bungles can nut up and handle Huntley and his 11.9 PPG?
If in the, admittedly unlikely, event the Chiefs lose and the Bengals win, why is that not a coinflip, but the Ravens win scenario is? Do you not see the inconsistency there as far as the Bengals are concerned? Again, this is why I am highly skeptical of and otherwise dislike CFB-esque scenario villages. How did they get screwed? You can’t fix everything. Didn’t we agree the other day that there’s no perfect fix to this situation?Okay, how about the Bengals winning Sunday, and the Bills winning and the Chiefs winning, and the Bengals are forced to take the 3 seed instead of what would have amounted to the #2 seed had the Bengals / Bills played and the Bengals won?
Holy shit! Is Clowney back spearing starting QBs?!?!?Anyone can beat the Eagles. My sisters dick, could beat the Eagles.
That’s what I read. But let’s say he doesn’t. You’re playing a run first QB with a bum knee who at best is gonna be 75-80%.You sure Huntley is playing?
I don’t think anybody likes this. It’s dealing with a shit sandwich. I’ll remind you again that earlier in the week when it was 3 teams eating a shit sandwich on a non contest and a gift being handed to the Chiefs you were a whole lot of “well, whatcha gonna do?”If in the, admittedly unlikely, event the Chiefs lose and the Bengals win, why is that not a coinflip, but the Ravens win scenario is? I think defaulting to win % was the least bad outcome short of being able to make up the game (appears impossible), and the Bengals seat on the competition committee sure enough is going to recommend the owners do precisely that. Scenario village invites accusations of bias, real or imagined.I don’t think anybody likes this. It’s dealing with a shit sandwich. We will do what we have to, same as anyone else, but this prevents us from resting starters prior to the playoffs because we can't risk a coin toss. AFC North matches are blood baths. Everyone of our major injuries occurred from an AFC North matchup this year. That’s what I read. But let’s say he doesn’t. You’re playing a run first QB with a bum knee who at best is gonna be 75-80%.
That’s in the eye of the beholder. I argued earlier in the week that leaving things to be decided purely on win percentage comes off as setting the table for the face of the league being in the Super Bowl.I think defaulting to win % was the least bad outcome short of being able to make up the game (appears impossible), and the Bengals seat on the competition committee sure enough is going to recommend the owners do precisely that. I didn’t know it was a birth right to rest starters. And for the record, the AFC North is garbage this year. The Browns and Steelers are rebuilding. The Ravens were blowing leads and now have an offense built around damaged goods at QB.We will do what we have to, same as anyone else, but this prevents us from resting starters prior to the playoffs because we can't risk a coin toss.
