Additional wear and tear, emotional readiness would be others.

Making up that game and losing IMO would absolutely ruin their chances to win a Super Bowl. Potentially playing 2 road games vs Cincy and KC while also being on shorter rest than every other team aside from Cincy?

Might not be worth the effort and the risk.

While it sucks for them to be a 2 seed, if they don’t make up that game, they actually gain a small rest advantage and they maintain a leg up on Cincy.

So yeah. They legit might not want to make up that game. Even taking a forfeit might be preferable to playing the game for them.

I don’t think they will have to though.

You guys see this? Honestly, this has holes and there is suffering spread around. I haven’t looked at individual team impact yet (outside of the Eagles- worry about rust but would be worse if they were actually hot- they may benefit from the extra time). If you prioritize playing every game scheduled for seedings while also trying to protect player safety this may be the best fix available.
