Was plowing his own roads, must have gotten off while the machine still running, ran over his leg.

He almost bled out.

One of his neighbors is a Doctor.

But, only way he could stop the bleeding was via tourniquet.

We all know that cutting off circulation for more than a few minutes means possibly losing the limb.

He’s stable. But, critical with extensive injuries.

Marvel actor Jeremy Renner lost a significant amount of blood New Year’s Day before he was airlifted to the hospital after his snowplow accidentally ran over one of his legs at his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

A neighbor who is a doctor managed to rush to the aid of the “Hawkeye” star. After fixing a tourniquet on his injured leg an air ambulance took Renner to a hospital near Reno, TMZ reports.

The outlet also noted the star’s injuries are “extensive” and other parts of his body were also injured alongside his leg.

The 51-year-old actor was loaded onto the chopper Sunday around 9:50 a.m. Renner was alone and had been trying to clear a path out of his five-bedroom home following a massive snow storm over the new year

Wow...

Yeah.

Im afraid for him.

It”s not just his leg.

Renner was in the intensive care unit upon undergoing surgery on Monday after he "suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries" in the accident, publicist Samantha Mast said in a statement, according to media reports.

Yeah, I can see what he was trying to say.

But, can also see how people who didn’t read the last line carefully got triggered.
Yeah i wasn't as mad at him as everyone else because i saw what he was trying to get acorss. Just poor timing

Tremendous overreaction.

He is questioning what happens next for 2 teams, both in contention for #1 seed in the AFC AND he even said it seems irrelevant at this point.

It is a little tone def in the moment when the well being of the player comes first, but calling for someone to be fired over asking that question is cringeworthy at best.

His job is to cover sports. This is an unprecedented event. The logistics surrounding it are important.

Trust that the league will eventually figure out the best course of action while communicating with both teams.

But there is no positive outcome from any of this. And the question is valid.

Glad to see Hamlin survived the night, hopefully a good sign
Big moment comes when they bring him back out of the coma and they're able to ascertain if he has any damage to his brain from being out for as long as he was. I hope the initial reports are misleading and that he wasn't "not with us" for 8-9 minutes. 2-3 minutes without oxygen to the brain can be very impactful.

From what I've read, medical staff got to him within seconds and that 8-9 minutes was exaggerated.

If true that’s huge. As long as his brain was getting oxygen he should pull through.

Yeah, it's been years since I had cpr training, but from what I recall, the danger to the brain isn't as much about how long cpr has to be performed as it is how quickly it is started. They got to him, realized what was happening and started cpr very quickly.
