But, that’s not really the same situation.

Houston was purposely tanking.

Loul Deng was probably the closest.

Still not a perfect comparison because the Lakers didn’t have a 38 year old Lebron, who’s teams are always championship or bust by virtue of him being on the roster.

So, let’s see if the Lakers actually have the balls to pay a guy 47 million to stay home.

Very small sample size, but so far Wiseman having a very solid showing.

17MPG, 11 pts, 6 rbs, 1.3 apg. Blocks are down to 0.3, but I think that is more of a function of Looney and Draymond teaching him to go straight up instead of leaping for the blocks. He has a 126 ORT and 110 DRTG.

I like what I've seen from him thus far, particularly on defense. He's getting more comfortable out there and I expect a more expanded role for him as the season goes on.

Clippers coming to the OKC this week for 2 games with a night off in between. I think COVID made the league look at stuff like this to contain costs. I don’t see a problem with it.
