SD is basically a suburb of Mexico, lol. A wealthy suburb of course...

When I was in the Vegas area met several people from San Diego. And when I asked why they left their hometown the majority of them said the price of living was too much. And that was well over a decade ago. I'm guessing prices in S.D. are even more expensive now.

When I was there, I was crashing at my brother's apartment (USD off-campus). Loved it there, but the job I had lined up went away once I got there, and temp jobs weren't cutting it. Perfect weather IMO, and a bit more comfortable than LA.

San Diego has the perfect climate. Coastal breeze but warm weather. Optimal setting. It's on the list now for the next golf trip.

I always wanted to take a trip to S.D. when I was in NV. but never got around to it. I decided to go the the Grand Canyon & Death Valley instead.

He’s obviously lying, but from I’ve seen from Kawhi he loves the game.

Dude doesn’t express it because maybe he’s shy? Lol

Maybe.

He plays a team friendly style. But is he a team friendly player?

Not from what I have seen.

He isn’t a Russ Westbrook style ball hog by any stretch, but he very clearly puts himself before team. Kawhi is like a mercenary.

As much as LeBron has been criticized for getting his in free agency, he always gives his best to the team while under contract.

And while Kawhi is no LeBron, I think he would be a lot more highly regarded in terms of his playing legacy if he gave more to his teams.

It really isn’t though.

Basketball is Kawhi’s job, and he is damn good at it.

But he lacks passion for the sport. And that is part of the reason why he has missed so much time, IMO.

I want my franchise player to also be a fan of the game. To really geek out on basketball.

That is the only way someone can elevate to the Kobe, LeBron, KD levels of truly superlative play.

Kawhi is one of the best at his job. That's all fans can really ask for. He watches film. He prepares. For all we know, he could've been doing prep work while the Lakers-Warriors game was on. If he was relaxing and resting, that's a valid thing to do as well. If anyone is disappointed that he didn't watch the Lakers-Warriors game, well, that would just be silly.

Damn.

# 1 overall pick Paolo Banchero had 27/9/5 in his first game.

Since 1969 only three players have had 25+ pts. / 5+ rebs. / 5+ asts. in their debut. The other two are LeBron & KAJ. That's some select company.

I don’t care that he didn’t watch a specific game.

And maybe his quote is out of context, but the way he said it made it seem like basketball is “just a job” to him.

And a lot of his actions can be interpreted that way too.

So I am pushing back on why I don’t think that is “the perfect response”.

His not doing back to backs would be my biggest issue with him as a teammate..

He hasn't played more than 60 games since he was 26.

I just don't know how other players feel about your highest paid guy not putting in the same kind of work
He works.

Dude is always in shape.

But, the Clippers need to take the training wheels off.

I get the injury management.

But, they are cheating the Season by trying to coast until the playoffs.

Hasn't worked yet.

Chemistry is off because there's no familiarity.

Here's a new wrinkle that I don't actually believe.

But, I'd be onboard if they went this route.

If that rubs you wrong, this will definitely make you flip your lid.

Also: Mann, Batum, Covington, Powell aren't going to complain because that means more minutes.

Everyone of those dudes are coming off the bench if Kawhi plays.

Yeah.

Roster design was clearly based on injury protection.

The Clippers legitimately go 11 deep.

Zu, PG, Klaw, Morris, Jackson, Wall, Batum, Powell, Mann, Covington, Kennard.

...and then we have the developing young guys like Coffey, Boston Jr, Diabate and fake Lamelo, Preston who can give you a few minutes in a pinch.

I really hope we pick up Favors.or Whiteside to fill that glaring hole as the backup 5.

Moses Brown is so raw and we can't always go small.

Go Detroit Clippers. Pick up Saben Lee

Raptors gave him a Exhibit 10 contract.

So, I think they have his G League rights.

That would likely be the only way the Clippers would sign him because Diabate and Brown got the 2way deals.

Can't see them giving him a standard contract.
