Gotta say, there seems to be a lot of players banged up, out, doubtful, and questionable for week 2.

kind of ridiculous that most teams rest their starters in preseason to avoid this. Maybe they need to PLAY their starters in preseason so by week 1, they get the kinks out.

I agree with this totally. There's seems to be a lot more early season injuries now that nobody plays in the pre-season than before.

Pittman out for the week.
Godwin out (duh, dumb Bucs rushing him back)

This leaves my home league WR group at Watkins, Samuel, Boyd

Why do these people even have McCarthy in place there?

George Steinbrenner is laughing in his grave at Jerrah and Son.

Well, given the QB situation, it'll be an easier pull to swallow to relieve MM of his duties and replace him with either the DC or the OC...both top of the class HC candidates later year...

IMHO, that should've been done last year, but damned hard to sell firing a 10 win coach, even if you have fired a SB winning head coach the following season 30 years ago.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports Jameis Winston is playing with four fractures in his back.

Glazer noted Winston is dealing with "a lot of pain" and will be wearing extra padding to protect his back. He added that there is no risk of further injury. It's good that Winston is able to take the field, but it sounds like a brutal injury for Winston to be dealing with this early in the season. The Saints also have less of a ground game to rely on with Alvin Kamara out this week. For now, Winston sits in the QB2 range. If the injury appears to be affecting him in-game, he will become unplayable in all fantasy formats.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Trey Lance is expected to undergo season-ending ankle surgery.

Lance took a hard shot on a rush attempt in the first half. His leg rolled up under his body, causing the ankle injury. He was subsequently carted off the field with an air cast on his right leg. Jimmy Garoppolo took over for Lance and played well, leading the 49ers to an easy win over Seattle. His contract was reworked before the season to make him a more enticing player for other teams to trade for, but he will now be in the driver's seat for San Francisco once again. Garoppolo will be a free agent at the end of the year and could p[aly himself into a starting role elsewhere in the league. Barring a truly miraculous season, San Francisco is all but guaranteed to let him walk at the end of the season, leaving the starting role in Lance's hands for 2023.

Results showed Jimmy not being the starter anyway, is just embarrassingly stubborn. Too afraid to admit their Lance reach was a brutal mistake.

Mike Evans suspended? Man, Bucs catchers are hurting.

Who returns first? AB or Gronk?

Eh, one game, he'll appeal, somebody will be healthy by the time it's sorted out.
