"Win Now" mode? Seriously, does anyone have a clue as to what ol' Jerrah is thinking?

McCarthy fighting for his job? Lol, the dude is in the midst of a two year paid vacation.

Winning now with a gaping hole in your offensive line and having no QB kinda puts a damper on those expectations.

Speaking Monday, Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said the team is "evaluating all options" at quarterback following Dak Prescott's hand injury.

Prescott is expected to miss close to two months. And with the Cowboys in win-now mode and coach Mike McCarthy coaching for his job, it would be wise for Dallas to look for an upgrade on Cooper Rush. He simply isn't a capable fill-in starter for an extended period of time. Perhaps the Cowboys could call the 49ers about Jimmy Garoppolo or check in with the Steelers on Mason Rudolph. For what it's worth, the Cowboys have over $11 million in 2022 cap space at the moment.
toss jordan love in there.

Well it seemed like every team that was supposed to be picking at the top of the draft next year came to play this week (Texans, Jags, Seahawks, Falcons, Browns without Watson, Giants, Steelers, Bears, Lions) while the teams that were supposed to be good came out like shit except the Bills and Chiefs. The Bucs won handily, but I'm not sure that version of the Cowboys could have beaten anybody in the league last week. Without Dak there's a chance that team is 1-9 by the time he comes back. I was texting with my brother about who looked like the worst team in the league right now. His vote was the Patriots. Mine was the Cowboys. We'll see how that looks in five more weeks.

Whew. Being a running back for Shanny is no freakin' joke.

Free agent RB Devonta Freeman worked out for the 49ers on Tuesday.

He was joined by (deep breath): Tevin Coleman, Nate McCrary, Abram Smith, La'Mical Perine, Godwin Igwebuike, and Marlon Mack. Sources have told us that LaMichael James was unavailable. The 49ers seem likely to add someone to their backfield mix behind Jeff Wilson while Elijah Mitchell recovers from his injury, and whoever that back is will have some break-in-case-of-emergency fantasy value in Kyle Shanahan's offense.

Gotta say, there seems to be a lot of players banged up, out, doubtful, and questionable for week 2.

kind of ridiculous that most teams rest their starters in preseason to avoid this. Maybe they need to PLAY their starters in preseason so by week 1, they get the kinks out.

I agree with this totally. There's seems to be a lot more early season injuries now that nobody plays in the pre-season than before.

Pittman out for the week.
Godwin out (duh, dumb Bucs rushing him back)

This leaves my home league WR group at Watkins, Samuel, Boyd
