Haha, have you ever played football? If I’m grading this play, Kelce gets a plus. The guy is the MLB on an outside zone play and he doesn’t even factor into the stop.
And he is nimble too, like a 13 year old girl at gymnastics. Very impressive

And on this play Mr Football expert, you can see Rodrigo fill the hole and force the RB outside.

What I see is the 3 tech and 1 tech who make the play there not Rodrigo. If the 3 tech is cut off Rodrigo is sealed off. Rodrigo is likely the 4th most impactful defender on this play at best.

I will say this. I thought the overall performance of the OL on Sunday by the Eagles was subpar. Many blown assignments from communication and a struggle in finishing blocks. That being said they still rushed for 5.5 yards per carry. And 5.7 yards per carry on non Jalen Hurts runs (actual called runs from scrimmage).

The old have you ever played football.

Shoot on the internet, everyone is all state and all conference.
I’d be miserable too if I was an old fat curmudgeon that hadn’t seen his dick standing up since the Carter/Reagan transition.

Wouldn't grabbing an OL and body slamming him be defensive holding? A la an amped up version of what Justin Smith used to do to open up Aldon Smith for a stop before refs realized that was blatant cheating?

Of course you do:L. But even in your revised words the 4th most impactful defender is a far cry from your previous comment:

The guy is the MLB on an outside zone play and he doesn’t even factor into the stop.

I guess, but its not like this was some subtle grab of the jersey armpits in the middle of the line... seems weird the refs would look at a play like that and say "yeah... that's cool", when they would call it unnecessary roughness if he tackled the ball carrier like that.

I wouldn’t rule that defensive holding. That’s a player using his hands to disengage from a block. The example you cite is a defensive player holding a player to allow for a blitzing defender to come free. I’m old school. I think that’s just good football. But through the years various rules have been changed or adopted to benefit the offense.

I stand by that comment. He didn’t factor into the stop. He’s nowhere near where the tackle is engaged. He provided gap leverage and looking at his gap leverage it wasn’t as important as 1) edge defender 2) 3 tech 3) 1 tech in that order.

Essentially, this tweet and those going Gaga over it are a bunch of casuals who see a WWE style hip toss and think that’s what football is all about. Really not surprised this was brought to the thread by a Cowboy fan…the biggest poser fanbase in the NFL.

Do you want to see his dick? Asking for a friend.....
No. It’s my way of calling someone fat and old. Get it? A man stands up and he can’t see his old tiny wrinkled pud because his fat gut obstructs his ability to see it when he looks down. It hits on various levels. You call a man fat while also saying his junk his tiny. These things become less funny and less entertaining when we have to stop and explain them to the sped shed.
