He cared a week ago. Not so sure now. Seems he is just used to losing
He's like the Jimmy Carter of Managers. Nice guy, just in over his head.
Wonder who would be a realistic quality replacement.

He is under contract through next year so to me it is a flip of the coin what the FO does about him. He rubs me the wrong way but sure some guys love him

Who are the guys who love him
I can’t be sure but think Seager and any LA crew. So yeah good question and no personal knowledge but sure seems like the media overall are quick to his defense. Part of my original response was to deflect some of my dislike for his style and moves
Woody is entirely likable from a personal standpoint

It is interesting that Banny had the your detractors so I assume it is the younger generation guys who love Woody.
What are your thoughts?

I don't really pay attention to it enough to have much of an opinion. Woody doesn't wield the personnel power some seem to think he does. He's pretty shit at managing his bullpen and pinch hits too much. Tries to overthink in some cases. I think managers in general get blamed for the shortcomings of the players more than they should, but Woody has shortcomings of his own.

I’m part of the younger crowd. I hated banny and liked woody for awhile, but I’m starting to think woody doesn’t have it.

With all the negatives pointed out by writers and this board, I have to believe players see and feel some what the same.

Players need to focus on not swinging at shit pitches and moving runners 90 feet when there's an opportunity.

Thomas Saggase has his OPS up to .875 for Hickory. He was drafted 2 years ago in the 5th round. He has played, 2B, SS and 3B since being drafted.
Three more hits tonight for Saggase to put his OPS up to .884.
