The Mets just acquired a 1B/DH, Vogelbach, from the Pirates for a rookie relief pitcher who has pitched really well this year.

Vogelbach has an OPS about 20 points higher than Lowe, but is only under control through 2024 while Lowe is under control through 2026.

If we had better guys who deliver with guys in RISP I would think he is a good lead off but that is not the case. If he continues to shine and if our leadoff guy is getting on with speed then maybe Leody bats 2nd.

In all honesty I'm just hoping Howard can just not embarrass himself. Would sure be nice if he actually turned into a viable starter though. Even just a decent back end starter.
