1. If my kid said to me they’re gonna bail on prom because her boyfriend didn’t want to go, I’d give a run at talking her into going anyway but I would absolutely get it. Harden reacted to Kyrie going nuts. And your KD argument fails because he was hurt during most of that time.

If that was what happened, you might have point. Kyrie did something wrong and Harden's response was to do it too. The only difference was that Harden actually quit while still on the court so he could steal money.

Your prom scenario doesn't work, but it does show that you're getting desperate in defending him.

2. You know I have no problem being critical of Sixers who don’t play well. All of this isn’t about anyone’s 180 except Harden. I only knew Harden from afar. All you guys told me he was selfish and a shitty teammate. Actions so far don’t add up with what all you guys told me he was about.

Yep, and the 180 you'll do on Harden if he quits on your Sixers will be epic. Just be careful not hurt yourself.

Really? I must have missed his heroic playoff performance. lol

So he’s a shitty teammate because he couldn’t carry them vs Miami with Embiid out? Alright.

No, he's shitty teammate because he quit on 2 teams...so far.

You tired? You seem to be struggling to keep up.

After they acquired John Wall after they fired Morey? Damn straight.
My guy, has it occurred to you that Morey was out because of his very questionable moves to cater to Hardens whims?

I mean, he traded his fucking starting Center so Westbrook could have more opportunities in the paint.

The China tweet was probably a factor too.

Also, some of this is revisionist history.

Morey stepped down, be wasn't fired.

More importantly, Harden wanted to be traded before Westbrook was dealt.

You can't put the halo back on his head by rearranging the facts of what actually happened.

This article pretty much sums up his whole career.

Could he be a changed player?

Yes.

But, he was a shit teammate that everyone was afraid to say no to in the past.

THE HOUSTON ROCKETS' culture in the James Harden era, which bridges two owners and now four head coaches, might be best summed up by a former staffer's three words:

"Whatever James wants."

Unless they were on the front end of a back-to-back set, it was essentially a sure thing that the Rockets stayed overnight -- or even an extra day -- after games in Los Angeles, Phoenix and other road cities that rank among Harden's favorite stops.

If the Rockets had two or three days between games, it was a good bet Harden would call for an off day and charter a private jet to party in Las Vegas or another city. He always gets an excused absence from the first practice after the All-Star break for the same reason.

Nah I’m good. I’m trying to figure out where this guy is because none of this has any resemblance to the dude in Philly. Seems like everybody is leaning on shit he did to get out of bad situations (one of which he played a hand in creating).

You saw his long history of playoff failure we told you about. As for the rest, he hasn't had anyone piss him off....yet.

That I knew about. Athletes try and athletes fail. That’s sports. I thought our conversation was about a selfish guy being a rotten teammate. This board promised me that’s the guy my team dealt for. Where is that guy?

I stand corrected. I had no idea he was involved in bringing John Wall.
Bottom line is Harden is one of the main villains in the NBA, and with good reason, if he was on any other team you'd be ripping him too. That said, the money give back is the first sign he's ready to change, and he very well might, but until we see it he's still got the team-killer selfish lazy sign around his neck.

He's also notorious for coming up small in the playoffs. Until he changes that, that's who he is too.

So it sounds like Harden was pulling some Ben Simmons shit.

Which is crazy to me because he’s coming from a team that actually does have a team-killer.

Now yours does too. He's one too. Maybe no longer, that's what we're going to find out.
Not sure why all these former teammates wanted to come back to play with this team killer.

It is completely in the realm of possibility that he finally gets it.

People rarely leave 15 mil on the table for the benefit of the team.

Dirk and Duncan took massive pay cuts to improve.

But, they were past their prime by then.

So, I give Harden props for that.

Sigh...

KD wanted to play with Kyrie. Who knows. But sell Harden as some great leader somewhere else, until he proves otherwise he is what he is. The reduced contract was a good start.

Your homerism on him is boring. I get it, that's fandom. But we've heard it, now it's time for Harden to prove you right and the world wrong. Let's see him have his first great playoffs and maybe you get a title.

Who said great leader? I don’t have a high hurdle to clear. The accusation is shitty teammate and a me first guy. I’ve never sold this great leader stuff. If you have receipts I’ll eat my crow.

Indeed, Simmons is another NBA villain. The biggest ones are probably those 2 and Kyrie, with some villainizing KD and LeBron and Draymond and CP3 and others for various reasons.
As a Philly sports fan on a national board I’m a villain before I give my first post. I just need to embrace it.

Truly great players don't fail in the playoffs as much as Harden has.

Harden is past his prime as well right? Plus let’s not forget rules were finally changed to offset the bullshit he used to his advantage.
