Her specific story? No clue. The group suit certainly has. But I'm guessing she may want her individual story to not be stifled by a confidentiality agreement

Not sure how fast they are, but it's been an ongoing investigation. Doing due diligence before the trade is the Browns problem, really. The league's job is to decide about player discipline and investigate for that purpose, not according the Browns' calendar.

My guess is the league told the Browns something like, "based on what we know so far, we're looking at this range of suspended games, but if something else comes up we can't promise anything."

I can agree with that. Though I cannot see 22 women being roughly half a season then it doubles (or more than doubles) when 4 more come forward. I mean, at this point, if you were in a room alone with Watson might as well shoot your shot.

FYI, I can agree it's possible she did not settle as she did not want an NDA....however, yes, it may also just be because she wants more money.

Honestly, I think a lot comes down to how much they believed Watson when he spoke to them......and did he show any type of remorse behind closed doors at least in saying some things could have been done differently?

How, exactly, am I a Watson apologist as I have also said he needs help/counseling no matter what the outcome as you just mentioned. Also said a year+ suspension could be justified. Pretty sure I saw something today about a fund of some sort he set up.

It's more likely that, consent being kind of a gray area, some of these women put up with something from a powerful person they didn't really want, but they also didn't really say no. That could leave them on the fence for a while about whether to get involved in this.

It will be annoying if all of these get settled. A judge or jury will do a better job sussing this out than we can from here.

Here's the deal. There will always be teams that are singled out here each year because of their own doing (it has been New England, Seattle, Philly and Dallas is always in the mix). No one gives a shit about the Browns per se'. They are probably one of the teams people have the least amount of an opinion about in the league. But when you go on and on (not all Browns fans of course, just a couple) arguing with everyone for 100 pages on multiple threads about crap that is obviously wrong don't expect silence. That's just how the internet works. The dumb comments get responses from the masses

I don't know as I have not seen the accusations of very many of the women and cannot say I know what legally rises to the level of sexual assualt and/or misconduct. My guess? Probably.
