Well his conduct been atrocious. 66 massages and more then a third have filed cases against him, He even continued his behavior after some of these cases were filed. I would guess his behavior with women predates any of these lawsuits. He's got a problem . I also think the NFL won't like someone trying to game the systems by having a contract that by design safeguards him from much of a financial hit year one from a suspension he's expecting.
If true he has continued his behavior that's almost as strange as women seeing him after he allegedly abused them.

Sorry, both s/b 60 games. I think a 60 game suspension would be shocking
I don't think there will ever be anything like that. If you are going to suspend a guy for 60 games, you may as well just ban him from the league. I don't think there is any chance in hell there is a 60 game suspension.

Not one person suggested it could be more than a year

If so please enlighten me as to who that was.
What? Didn't pretty much everyone think it was at least "a possibility" of being more than a year?

No, I said "your eyes" are the BEST indicator. You seem to see what you want to see in every post

But, as I said, all of those things even out in the long run and I even brought a few things up :noidea: . Which is why I said: "which is why a couple of games is a horrible indicator but a few years or more tells a pretty good story". What is his career PFF ranking?
How do I see what I see in this post (or any?) I'm not even talking about any player I may have seen but grading a QB in general and PFF vs. completion % alone. You are the only one making this latest discussion about Baker.

Obsessed?

Did you expect anything different from him?
I definitely didn't expect anything from you other than being Base Your Comment on the Poster and not the Post Boy.

Often a no from you even with more commentary would be great from you. would show the question didn't scare you as so many seem to. also better than you just lying.

I'm not going to agree nor disagree. Stats are stats and can be used to weaken or strengthen any argument.

My question is, if Baker was so goo why did the Browns FO screw up by calling him a child (paraphrasing) and go sign Watson to that insane deal?
Not even in you to say if you think PFF ratings or completion % is a better gauge to measure a QB?

To answer your question (because they are not scary) I don't believe anyone in the Browns FO who matters made that comment and if they did it was just as likely about whether they'd start a rookie in 2022.

That was not really close to paraphrasing as the comment was more like wanting an adult at QB, not calling any particular person a child.

0, 1/2, 10 would certainly follow a clear progression of negotiations wouldn't you agree?

No one bit on the 0.

No one has bitten on the 1/2.

Time will tell if paying $10M will be enough to get a deal done.

Reports true or false are not good for the Browns negotiations. With everyday passing and every "report/rumor" leaking out or being speculated hurts the organization.
My comments on numbers were not in the order we have heard them, but sure, that's how it likely goes if teams shared info like this willingly with reporters.....but they don't.

Reports being leaked are for those like you who believe anything that suits their agenda.

I think you make stuff up so often you don't even remember your story. I made it about Baker? I quoted your comment about Baker and his PFF grade which is how you and I got on the topic.

How do you see what you want? I said your eyes are "the best" indicator and you said I said comp % is.

My answer. He's better off playing for 31 other teams. But no one wants him at the current asking price.

Has 0 to do with whether he believes in himself or not.

It's all about finding a dance partner.
Once again, the question was is he then better off playing and playing well or sitting out? If not too scared, little fella, do try again.

I can understand most of what you're saying. However, people will argue BM had put up quality numbers.

So why take the chance on going all in on Watson hoping you sign him, while alienating the QB who took you to your first playoff win in decades?
Not to mention the Brown FO was aware of the pending issues Watson was bringing with him. Could miss two years of NFL play. How will that effect his performance? Then throw that crazy contract on top of it.

Was it worth it? Can't answer that now.

Time will tell.
wow are you all over the place. This reminded me again of some of my favorites by you

"Baker's a bust"
"Browns should have kept Baker"

Ya gotta love this forum.

thank goodness for that. FOs who did often got themselves in trouble and eventually fired.
Sometimes that can be very true. I can't imagine a move like this keeps you employed real long though, especially if shit keeps getting worse.

Not sure how many saw him more then once and both sides can explain in court their story. Funny how you want to turn the conversation away from Watson and want to call out the victims. Think most of us heard enough to understand that Watson goal wasn't a massage when he made his appointments.

Maybe it WAS 8 games, but then more cases dropped.
The Browns said they stand behind Watson after it got uglier, the NFL apparently doesn’t.
I mean, the NFL was going to do 8 games with 22 women, but an additional 4 made it a season+?

Pretty sure ownership was on board so hard to fire them over this...unless they really had to talk the Haslams into it after they first said no?

Twenty of the 24 lawsuits against Deshaun Watson have settled, according to the attorney representing the women who accused the Cleveland Browns quarterback of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior.

Attorney Tony Buzbee announced Tuesday that Ashley Solis' case against Watson, and the cases of three other unnamed women, have not settled.

The only thing we can say for sure is it likely will be a minimum of 6 games based on what we know of NFL suspension terms and that it probably and should be more. I suspect on the high end they would never suspend him for something like 60 games even if arrested and found guilty. They may do an indefinite suspension and take it up in the future after time served, counseling, etc. But to hand down a 60 game month suspension would be shocking IMO
I'll say it again. I'd be very shocked if it's only 6 games.

I would be surprised as well, but that's not what I said exactly. Do you not agree with my comment that 6 games is very likely the minimum based on what the NFL suspension policy now seems to be:

"Violations involving assault, battery, domestic violence or sexual assault will result in a baseline six-game suspension without pay, with more if aggravating factors are present, such as the use of a weapon or a crime against a child. A second offense will result in banishment from the NFL."
