Dante Fowler signed. Rush end that doesn't get a bunch of sacks. Played with Quinn the year Quinn got fired from ATL. He may end up Armstrong's backup. I give this signing a 3/10.
Still waiting for THE signing to explain the reason we cleared all this cap room.

I dont know much about him. I think he did have 11 sacks with the Rams one year. Tore his acl rookie year. A good rotational piece

One more signed. Another Quinn reclamation project. Dante Fowler signed. Good piece for depth. Has good athletic ability.

Me too. These moves don’t win us a SB and in fact we have taken a step back. So if that’s the plan why not just take the cap hit now and clear it, instead of kicking it into future years? There better be a big signing or this will end up a horrible offseason. So far we haven’t signed anyone that a well used 3rd or 4th round pick couldn’t replace. They are all backups on a good team.

You may be right, but I'll take the glass half full look at this. Fowler had 11.5 sacks in 2019. Gregory's career high is 6. Playing with Micah and DLaw, I could see Fowler having a Quinn type season here. Could easily get 8-10 sacks

It could be argued that Gregory could be out of the league if not for the Cowboys. Cowboy kept welcoming him back with open arms. Not many teams would do that. I also think that Broncos were one of very few teams trying to sign Gregory and will not be laughing when the dust settles. I dont wish Gregory well and he gets a middle finger from me. Why the hell should any team "trust" Gregory after the number of times he was suspended? Then when Gregory was not suspended he was always missing games due to injury. Fuck him

That and his changing of his mind is what pissed me off.

Hell had he just signed with the Broncos because they offered more money, I'd be fine with it.

But to agree to stay, then leave because the team that supported you wanted some protection, protection that the player alone is in control of is fucked.

If Gregory is worried about that clause then Dallaa had the right to ne worried about Gregory slipping up.

Bingo. I figured he would end up in a state where certain drugs are legal. Safest bet for him. I always worry about giving big money to players who could not stay on field when they were making much less.

Wagner is still my top FA target not just because of what he would do for our defense himself, but also because he would allow Parsons to rush the passer more. But, one FA I'd really like to bring in is Tretter from the Browns. I feel confident that there will be a bunch of defenders that can help us with our 1st round pick plus some cheaper rotational guys in FA. Our OL right now has gaping holes and our run game and Dak have proven to struggle when the OL play isn't great. Maybe Steele works out at RT and maybe Ball at swing tackle but that is no guarantee. Now throw in that Smith will miss time and OT is questionable at best. Martin is our one rock, but at C and LG we don't have a starting caliber player IMO.

Tretter would allow us more flexibility in the draft and you can always find a "startable" (even if not much more) OG and a swing tackle for when Smith goes down if the idea of Ball and Steele scares you, later in FA. If we bring in a good Center we really solidify the line if all of our question marks work out and make it a top OL and if our question marks don't work out we have 3 really good lineman that at least get us through. The idea of assuming we are going to fix both starting C and LG in the draft is ridiculous to me and especially with our other holes. Plus C always seemed a tough spot to pick the right guy. I love the idea of the kid from Iowa but there is no guarantee he is there when we pick and I think the defensive guys on the board at that time will be tough to pass on.

Solidify our holes now so we can go BPA. That means C and OG. And if Linderbaum is available when we pick and the team loves him and wants him, I feel like Tretter can probably moe to LG. He was drafted as an OT so I imagine playing him at OG wouldn't be a huge stretch. Plus he is older so I imagine a 2 year deal worth around $6M or $7M per may get him.

Interesting that Gregory said Wilson played a big part in convincing him to go to Denver. Not sure that is the reality but interesting none the less

I am surpised Wagner is unsigned. Signing him would make the defense better than last season. I prefer Kenyon Green over linderbaum. Biadz was not great, but the pressure up the middle always seemed to come through Williams. Green dont get bullrushed. In some ways he reminds me of LA. Green would help keep Dak upright and open up holes for Zeke and Pollard. Green also is a bully on the field. He destroys linebackers

opinions galore and I'm starting to think be careful what you wish for...Stephen's only success to date is being Jerry's son.

26 and counting
Winning the S**** Donar/ silver spoon award is more of a burden than a award and no guarantee of success with exceptions of course from what I have observed. And so far Stephen Jones is failing.

Answer me this Cowboys fans who would hire Jerry Jones as a GM or Stephen in any capacity in management on the other 31 NFL Teams.
My Answer is zero based on the last 26 years with a fluke Raiders hire always a wild hair possibly.

You are now being very creative in your not veiled criticisms of Dak…

The more he talks the more I am glade he is gone. Can't wait for a game killing dumb penalty by him. This time it won't hurt us.
Totally agree. Man barely played for us. Was supported to a fault by ownership and this fan base and now he takes pot shots. Comical. Karma can be a bear. Let’s see what happens to him.
