If used Successfully. It would be a grat merger.

Use it like a training ground. Like NXT

But great show all around.
You know I'm happy he's not a regular character because Tony Khan has about the worst mic skills I've ever seen.

Bodyslam dotnet has an initial report saying ROH sold for somewhere between 30 and 40 mil. Belief is they are going to keep it separate and use it as defacto developmental system but main AEW talent would appear from time to time. Didn't have any details on where it would air though.

I think this is a pretty good investment even if the price seems steep initially. Lots of ways AEW can make money off this. The tape library is a huge boon as a selling point for a streaming service. They can make all kinds of historical ROH toy figures and can incorporate the brand into future video games, etc. Definitely feels like one of those long term investments where you're take a bit of a hit early but it pays off down the road

They could get Gabe to run the ROH side of things.

Sean Ross Sapp said tonight in a chat (I read tidbits on Twitter) that the same person that told him Tony is buying ROH also said they could see Cody going there. He likes the idea of being in the same role Dusty was with NXT

I’ve definitely heard those rumors as well. Having ROH would definitely be good for getting all the unused talent or green talent some more ring work. But I think being Gabe Sapolsky in to help run things there would be good as well since he’s experienced in that.

WWE threw out too many signals for Cody not to be a done deal imo. I just think this is Cody's camp trying to throw an added smoke signal to create a little doubt and keep things more exciting when he eventually shows up there. Still it's wrestling so I guess anything is possible.

The Punk/MJF stuff has been great. I'm sure Punk is doing everything possible to make MJF the huge star he should be but last night was a bit much. Everyone knew last week was a setup except Punk? Not really the direction I would have taken but we'll see where it goes at the match. If it's the end of "affable, happy to be here" Punk it might be worth

The Punk-MJF match is the one I’m looking most forward to on the ppv. Danielson and Mox and the ladder match should be entertaining. The Page-Cole match should be fine but I just don’t think the build for it was all that interesting. No interest in the tag title match. I was hoping that they’d actually surprise me and put Santana and Ortiz in the match instead but unless they get a shot soon after the ppv, it looks like the stop part of their start-stop push is happening. That’s unfortunate because I enjoy them and FTR and neither one has done much of anything lately.
Anyways, here’s my predictions that’ll probably turn out mostly wrong.
Hook beats QT
Leyla beats Statlander
Jurassic Express retains
Jade beats Conti
Wardlow wins the ladder match
Sammy, Sting and Darby beat AHFO
Jericho beats Kingston
Rosa beats Baker
Danielson beats Moxley
Punk beats MJF
Page beats Cole

Is this my karma for pointing out CM Punk's character's naivete. Am I actually the one getting worked?

There's a report on bodyslam.net Cody could be going back to AEW.

I still think WWE because they've hinted at his return on air and their official Twitter account. Why would they help AEW with an angle? Either way I'm relating to Punk now.

Loaded Rampage tonight. Fun show. Redbeard showing up was a fun surprise I didn't expect. Though I hope its just a one off or a handful of dates. Their roster is too loaded as is.

My guess is is that it’s just temporary since Fenix is still out with an injury.

That was a wild Dynamite. Probably too wild. They should have saved a couple of segments for another show. Like there was no reason that tag title match couldn't have been on another show.
