Guys like Rappaport and Schefter have been saying Russ wanted to go to Denver and really nowhere else because of the roster and the coach. So my guess is he said no way to Washington. I also think he looked at Olines and didn't want a repeat of Seattle in that regard. And Denver's Oline is much better than Washington's.

I tend to agree there. An extra first 3 years down the road is pretty meaningless, imo. As for the 3 players, it's kinda meh. Fant is a good add in and getting a solid DT is nice but Lock is basically a throwaway. I see talking heads spouting about him being a first round pick like it means something. Dude is a total bust. Fant might turn out okay and has some upside but he drops a lot of balls too and will lijely only be as good as whatever future QB seattle drafts.
I think this whole thing will be looked back on as the end of Pete Carroll in 2023. Seattle will finish near the bottom of the league and PC will be given his walking papers, imo.

Drew Lock is just good enough to evaluate the players on Seattle as they rebuild. It makes since for Seattle to have the 30st-35th best QB in the league as they tank next year. They shouldn't be trying to win more than a couple of games.

Weirdly if I was trying to find a WR that would make Lock look good it would be DK Metcalf. I just don't see DK sticking around on a last place team
