McClay ain’t going NOWHERE

If he is offered a GM job and it is considered a promotion, he can take it. My question is, would GM be considered a promotion over Vice President of whatever the heck title they made up for him...

I think he's just happy in Dallas. Its home to him and he doesn't want to move. He's turned down other teams requests for interviews in the past to stay put.

Grass isn't always greener kind of thing.

That is not enough. He could easily cost his team a great deal by stupid action as that. He has not shown much loyalty to team, owner or the game. 15k is nothing to him. He could have gone and abided by the rules but elected to ignore the rules. I do not know what emount it would take to get his attention but 15k is not the answer. It is play off time and his actions could have cost the ultimate prize. Hopefully everything will work out and he will learn from his mistake.

Congrats to all of em

No doubt about these guys. Work hard, play hard and win hard. Look for more to come next year when everone is healthy. Our receiving core has some nice looking candidates.

I'll say what I've been saying for a decade. When you have an average team and your offseason free agent moves consist of resigning your own players and cheap short term vet deals for guys who pass through the first couple of weeks of FA you will continue to have an average team. When was the last time we gave out a huge deal to a free agent like we give out to our own players every year? Loyalty is great, but we treat our team like our guys are irreplaceable and better than everyone else when the fact is there are 32 more options (and the 1st round of the draft) out there for most of them and a lot of those options are better and not more expensive or just as good and cheaper. You want a stud DT? You aren't likely finding one on day 3 of the draft or in a guy that was a rotational vet for another team. You want Brown and Lewis at a combined $10M per year or do you want a $10M corner? You want to keep paying Tyrone Crawford a stud DL salary or you want to go get an actual stud DL? I love Gallup and Cooper, but you cannot pay them both. You need to let one go and use that money elsewhere.

This team needs a roster adjustment. Dak's contract says he isn't going anywhere. Restructuring Zeke this year was stupid. They added $7M more in dead money for a guy that isn't earning his salary and for what reason? You need to let guys go that are paid more than they are worth in a cap world. Are they going to assume next year is the year Smith stays healthy and plays a full season? Guess what, he won't. Parsons looks like a generational talent. Don't waste him and don't let Quinn go regardless of what it takes to keep him.

I hated the deals we gave Zeke and Jaylon Smith. Gallup likely gone although that Knee injury will hurt him in FA. Cedric Wilson seemed to fold under pressure. Williams and Biadz were horrible. Cowboys need help in the middle either through the draft or FA. Possibly Mcgovern and Farniok can develop, but who knows at this point.

Do they try and resign Gregory? For the right price they should. But his penalties cost us yesterday.. i dont think he will get a offered a huge deal due to the off the field stuff and his penalty issues. Conner Williams can just go away. He has actually gotten worse as a player..

Gregory had a stupid penalty yesterday no doubt. He is taking a beating today. We had 14 penalties. 13 of them i agreed with. One offsides on Gregory though - Williams flinched with his back leg. I thought that was a bad call. Gregory did make the play to get us one final chance as he came all the way across the field and stopped Samuel just short.

Count me as one that wants Gregory back.

As far as the false starts yesterday - a couple of times there were multiple people moving - Biadaz didnt snap the ball on time.

I still have yet to hear who called the last play. If you watch it, the WRs and TEs ran routes but no one looked surprised except Shultz and Wilson maybe so I dont know.

The complaining by our players after the game about the officials just pisses me off. They have whined the last month.

I saw that as well. Williams clearly moved that leg. Should have been a false start. This was a bad call. The problem i had was they called the Cowboys OL for several legit holds and "convieniently missed" all the times Parsons got held early in the game.

That was my biggest gripe for the officials as well. We deserved most of our calls but there were a few times our rushers had their lineman turned around and they were still grabbing and trying to twist our guys around. If you're throwing flags throw them for everything

Maybe if the refs ever called a fair game the players would not be complaining? The refs constantly throwing holding flags on our OL, and at the same time ignoring the same shit happening on the other side. This has been going on for five seasons and it is no coincidence it became more noticeable after Jerry meddled in Zekes suspension.

As far as the fans throwing stuff at the refs they deserved it. They sucked yesterday. They should have thrown stuff at Goodell

Yep.. the sad thing is Conner Williams and Gregory being held to different standards. It like the refs are so focused on those two they miss everything else that is going on. You got holding happening on nearly every snap on both sides. Either call it on both sides or not at all.

Two things have happened for many years now. Cowboys & Raiders are watched by hawks. The bull shit is just part of it.
