Yes we all understand that but I'm sure football players would rather have 2 home playoff games and than go on the road for the third. They are resting to stay at home for a playoff game in a week.

It's just not for 1 week, it's positioning yourself for the entire playoffs if the 2 seed is up for grabs. They can still get 2 home games. They can get 3 home games. No one is going to revolt in the locker room because they were rested for the playoffs the following week. This isn't a new concept. That only thing that is new is that the #2 seed has lost major significance.

I'll ask again and try answering it this time. Would football players rather have 2 home game/1 road game or 1 home game/2 road games.
Try answering my question.Do football players decide it? Do football players revolt when rested in the final week of the season before the playoffs?
Try answering my question.
I guess I have to be super specific for ya.I did, the answer is it is irrelevant due to the fact that the players do not make the decision and they will not revolt or get upset any level that approaches anywhere close to anger for being rested in week 18 if their division is wrapped up and they don't have a chance to secure the #1 seed with a week 18 win.

Would the players/coaches rather have 2 home games/1 road game or 1 home game/2 road games
If you can show me proof of coaches that said that then i'll change my tune. Most coaches will rather rest their players and try and stay healthy for the playoffs knowing their is no potential bye week to win by playing their starters for a full game to try and win in week 18.

and they are stupidWe've seen proof of coaches resting starters the final week of the season.

Rested starters Week 17 and won next playoff game: 2 (2017 Eagles, 2018 Saints)
Rested starters Week 17 and lost next playoff game: 4 (2011 Packers, 2016 Cowboys, 2017 Steelers, 2019 Ravens)
Didn’t rest starters Week 17 and won next playoff game: 28![]()
Yes when the team can no longer go up or down in seedings. The bottom seeds don't really matter. We've seen proof of coaches resting starters the final week of the season.

Bullshit. Not at the risk of having to go on the roadWe've seen proof of coaches resting starters the final week of the season.
But the 2 seed offers an extra home game. Very important advantage in the playoffs.Becuase they don't offer bye weeks, just like how the #2 seed no longer offers a bye week.

True, but having A home game is more important than resting players. For some reason, you refuse to admit that.Becuase they don't offer bye weeks, just like how the #2 seed no longer offers a bye week.
