Ertz is better… I will never give in
At one time he was. When these guys are done, and we are 20 years removed from their careers, I bet 3 of 4 football fans will say Ertz was the better player with the better career. But for where we are right now, I don’t think it’s close. At the same time, I think Goedert benefits right now having the better QB which makes the gap look even bigger.Ertz is better… I will never give in
The ERagles have been blessed with a turnover of great TE for a long time and just when the current hero reaches pinnacle status, they get another, not a bad thing. At one time he was. Charlie Young is Pre me but I can co-sign this. Mark Bavaro, Keith Jackson, Steve Spagnula, Chad Lewis, Ertz. The name that bothers me is LJ Smith. Thought he could have been a stud but never seemed to figure it out.The ERagles have been blessed with a turnover of great TE for a long time and just when the current hero reaches pinnacle status, they get another, not a bad thing.
I liked Charlie Young
Absolutely. I completely forgot about Chad Lewis and maybe as I think about it, he deserves the honor of being the cornerstone to this current trend and stable.Charlie Young is Pre me but I can co-sign this. Loved Chad Lewis. People forget that he wasn’t available in that 2004 Super Bowl because he broke a bone in the NFC championship game. That was a big factor. Even with T.O. on that team, Chad Lewis was the nebulous of their red zone package and their wrinkles were still off action designed for him meant to adjust when teams would take him away.Absolutely. Goddert needs to get more than 58 catches (his career high), 830 yards (career high) ad 5 TD's (career) before he gets all this Philly praise.Ertz is better… I will never give in
If you look at their last season.....Goddert's numbers were just slightly better.
And he played in 2 more games....his longest catch was 31 yards to Zach's 32.They both had 69 targets but Goedert had 8 more catches and 300 more yards.
I don't think there is any real debate on who is better right now. I think 2 years ago it was a fair discussion. Eagles smart to get value and let Goedert grow into the role. And he played in 2 more games....his longest catch was 31 yards to Zach's 32.
And Ertz had more TD's.
He is better but it's not by a large margin.I don't think there is any real debate on who is better right now. I think 2 years ago it was a fair discussion. Eagles smart to get value and let Goedert grow into the role.

With all due respect, you can’t really hang in this discussion. You’re just grabbing stats and evaluating things. Goedert is a force on the edge as a blocker. The gap in who they are in the run game now is vast.He is better but it's not by a large margin.
If Chad Lewis didn't get hurt then that dumb fat idiot at qb could have gotten Andy a much deserved first ring.Absolutely. I completely forgot about Chad Lewis and maybe as I think about it, he deserves the honor of being the cornerstone to this current trend and stable.
Better QB?? Better everything. The Cards are a hot mess. Combine that with age and I think we all know the facts. At one time he was. True... I feel over the terms of their careers, Ertz has the edge but right now, Goedert is the better of the two...At one time he was.
