I didnt think Jerrah could hire more of a bumbling fool than Jason Garrett, but he seemed to have topped himself with the hiring of Mike McCarthy.

Based on his performance in Green Bay and his first year in Dallas, I hope he has a long, long leash.

Yeah, if I hear 'Barkley back from week 1 or spring training' then I'm optimistic for the Giants but I start hearing reports of 'he'll be back by week 3 for sure' and I start getting nervous about where they are at. Without Barkley, they are pretty much a Lions team and thats if Daniel Jones plays relatively well. With Barkley, they could be good.

While the Eagles may be a mess at WR, again, other than Devonta Smith, it looks like they will be stout on the lines of scrimmage. The offensive and defensive lines are the strength of the team. That will likely make them a .500 type of club.

If they don't make the playoffs he is gone IMO. He gets a bye for last year because of the unprecedented number of huge injuries that they had, but he was horrible in game, with his coaching hires and with the weekly preparation. Clearly he is the type of HC that needs good assts under him to have success. He may have that now with Quinn and an emerging Kellen Moore. Fassell is still a train wreck at STs and McCarthy seemingly has given him carte blanche to do whatever he wants there and it has been horrible so far and was again last night

Yeah, that seems a bit like conventional wisdom. Cowboys have to make the playoffs. That just seems a bit relative to what the rest of the division is doing. If the Cowboys make the playoffs at 8-9 or something silly like that then I think he should still get fired unless they really look good in the playoffs. Cowboys are currently the only team in the division with a franchise QB entering this season. The Cowboys should have higher expectations. You guys did get demolished with injuries last year so I do agree that any coach would have struggled.

Cowboys having the highest odds to win the division and highest odds to fire their coach in the NFL is a fairly unique spot to be in. You guys could be anything next year.
