While it certainly looks this way, in ‘19, we started hearing about all our trades about 30 mins AFTER the deadline…


And we should be getting Moronta back soon.

The reports about Longo have worried me, though. I fear we may not see him again this year, or only get him at 70% or so.

That's fair too, the article I posted from the Athletic mentioned that he and LaStella maybe don't get back for a while, and you're right about Longo being a risk to not come back strong

Still would rather have traded Bart for a legit closer. Pitching matters even more in the playoffs, as we learned in 2016 (and 2010, 2012, 2014)

I never got the feeling that Canario was going to be a star player. I figured his realistic ceiling was more of a 3rd/4th OF on a decent team.

Its almost as if the Giants shouldn't have let Watson walk in the first place. At least we've strengthened the bullpen. Angels became sellers very last minute.
