Patriots have a spare RB for you!The Rams were bottom 5 at RB before this injury. Now they're bottom 1. Henderson has a total of 20 receptions in his 1st 2 years, Calais and Jones had 0 offensive snaps in 2020 as rookies, and Funk is a 7th round 2021 rookie. If 1 of those steps up the Rams will be really lucky. Welcome 'TBA', the Rams new #1 RB.
Would you like our 2022 1st or our 2023 1st?Patriots have a spare RB for you!
I'll take a 2nd and a bowl of soup.Would you like our 2022 1st or our 2023 1st?
...oh wait!
I'll take a 2nd and a bowl of soup.
Next man up
Don't forget Sony Michel!Next man up is something teams with depth say. The Ram's were paper thin at quality proven RB's before this injury.
They will bring in a vet FA at some point in the next couple of weeks. No way a team with a top defense risks not being able to pound the rock to protect a lead at least a little at this point in the offseason.
Gurley makes the most sense. Even with any hard feelings. Both player and the team basically have some crow to eat (Gurley wasnt worth the money, but Gurley now knows he is only worth a fraction of his deal that the Rams cut him on). Bell doesnt fit the offense. Neither does Peterson really at least he has some experience in a zone scheme. I always thought Ito Smith kind of got a bit of a raw deal in ATL and deserved more carries than he saw in ATL.....but durability questions might be too much. Be interesting who they pick anyways.
Ain't nobody bringing washed Gurley back.Next man up is something teams with depth say. The Ram's were paper thin at quality proven RB's before this injury.
