Longtime former Rangers SS Elvis Andrus plays in front of the Rangers faithful for the first time as an opposing player this week. Here's hoping the fans deliver the ovation he absolutely deserves.

As for the team, they face one of four +.600 teams in the A's. OAK is running neck and neck with the Astr*s, so I'm OK with losing to them if it means playing spoiler to any hopes HOU has. Plus, gives TEX better draft position. Everybody but Dunning tosses this series. Gibby/Lyles/Folty/Allard is the order. A Gibby-standard start tonight should solidify his trade value further.

García, Gallo go deep and other takeaways

"Since sitting at 18-18 on May 9, the Rangers have gone 7-28. That’s in part because the offense is struggling to get support from the top to the bottom of the lineup. The same names are continually showing up in the hits and the RBIs column.

Glad you mention that. He will never be a class act OF so he will need to be a good DH in order to make the club and right now he is falling short and needs to pick it up a smite.

Ok went to the “Griill” yesterday. Here is my not so rapid reaction
The bottom of the lineup behind Solak hurt the team. Solak could not get anything four of the IF. Garcia and Gallo looked like they belonged. 431 looked very low for Gallo and he almost had another
Trevino looks like a backup. Holt makes good contact but has lost his pop unlike Garcia whose easy power shows. IKF is an asset.

The place was very wife friendly and the daytime lights are needed. Still prefer outside but turf is fine
Seats are good. Even in the OF. Better than old HR porch. Looked
Pretty full
Was talking to old ChiSox fan walking by old
BP and he wished they could ship it up to Chicago Ha I get it

Something tells me they work out a three or four year deal for him unless they are overwhelmed at the deadline. I think Teixeira is the last player we traded where we were overwhelmed so I am not holding my breath for that possibility.
