If the Lakers and Warriors get the last 2 seeds, there is a solid chance the top 2 seeds don't make it to round 2
The Warriors aren't gonna win a 7 game series. They might push it to 6 games if Curry is red hot, but both the Suns and Jazz should still beat them. The Lakers, if healthy, could absolutely beat either of them. Hell, if I'm the Suns, I'm doing any thing I can to avoid the Lakers in round 1. It's a bad match up for them
Lakers in 5 if the Suns are lucky
Yep. You can win one game vs anyone, but a series they learn how to stop you.I can see the Lakers beating either of them. I doubt the Warriors can though. One man shows rarely go very far in the playoffs.
Was just coming to post this. The one seed is so huge. You don’t have to beat the Nets AND the Bucks just one of them. Plus a great matchup with Knicks or Hawks. Let’s go Sixers!I would like to thank the San Antonio Spurs for beating the Bucks and making the Sixers magic number 1.
Weird line tonight for Clarkson. You see 41 points and go wow but he KILLED them. Took and missed SO many 3s (5 for 16) that he ended up -17 for the game scoring 41, by far the worst on the Jazz.

Looks like the Heat are gonna catch the load management Sixers on Thursday if they can beat the Pacers tonight.Knicks are far from a lock to be the 5 seed
5 seasons ago the Sixers were 10-72 and now they’re on the precipice of being the number one seed. Tanking can absolutely work. The last thing you want to be in the NBA is a 4-8 seed. You won’t be able to get that thing over the top. You just wallow in perpetual mediocrity. This post is for all those Cavs Thunder TWolves etc... fans who are living the misery right now.

No doubt. It still pisses me off that Adam Silver stepped in and meddled and made the Sixers hire old man Colangelo which set into motion Burner Colangelo. A good number of those assets were wasted by that crew. The NBA made tanking much less desirable when they changed the lottery odds.
One of the things that the Sixers did that is often overlooked during the Process was that they collected a LOT of draft assets. IMO, that was just as important if not more important as tanking.
Agree with that. It’s likely best to give the starters the first half with their regular minutes. Give them the first 5 of the 3rd quarter and then it’s BBall Paul and Isiah Joe time.If they do play tonight, it will be interesting to see how the Sixers play the final 3 games. I would surprised if they just sit everyone. Certainly anyone who is feeling a little achey or tired. But I would hope that Doc would keep them playing at least 25 or so minutes so they aren't rusty going into the playoffs.

But not a championship caliber team in most cases. The Knicks Hawks Clippers and Nuggets fall in that group this season. The only one I can see actually competing for a championship in that group is the Clip (as long as I don’t let the reality of Playoff P disappearing creep into my analysis)Agreed but I'd say it's more like 6 to 10 you don't want to be. A 4 seed is still a pretty damn good team
