I hate the Celtics as much as any self-respecting Sixers fan, but the Celtics have been consistently good since Stevens showed up.

4 guys for 3 positions and Kemba's game has never resulted in wins prior to becoming a Celtic. So, they're forced to play Tatum at the 4. Their bigs are far too inconsistent.

The Heat would benefit from the Sixers clinching before their game this week. They need a win at Indiana on Tuesday plus one Nets loss and one Bucks loss before Thursday. Bucks have Spurs and Magic before Thursday. Nets have the Bulls and Spurs.

Pretty much agree with this. The NBA is all about getting stars on your roster. Most teams have to rely on the draft because the stars don't want to go to their team.

Most teams get stuck in the mediocrity loop because they are never able to get that star. The Nuggets have been in that loop forever but seem to have broken out of his because of Joker.

The Cavs couldn't have been handed any more luck in the draft for a while there in terms of getting the lottery. They also managed to hold the #1 pick when the biggest prospect of the last 25 years fell into their laps from Ohio to boot. Other than Lebron, what really have the Cavs accomplished in the past 30 years? A few first brief playoff appearances early on, a lot of suck, Lebron arrives then leaves, a lot of suck, Lebron comes back then leaves again, more suck. Some of the suck has been intentional as an attempt at rebuilding, but so far there doesn't seem to be an endgame to the tanking.

Just saw an interesting stat on Cowherd.

Apparently there's a "clutch stat" which tracks how teams perform in the last 5 minutes with a point differential of 5 or less.

The Clippers are 2nd worst in the league in the "clutch points' stat. Only the Rockets are worse.
