It's like both lines went opposite of each other on a certain week. O-line went meh and D-line improved. Just have to get it together for a full season.
I think depth was the big problem, the starters were fine, but if any of them went down it got ugly

Here ya go rookie.....

Stick to the topic. Russell (Bucky) Wilson. You know...the biggest QB choke artist in SuperBowl history. But hey... at least he leads the league in "Razon Scoring".

Russell Wilson is this era's rough equivalent to what Drew Brees was to the previous one.

Great. HOF'er. Seldom considered the best QB of his own era.

Russell Wilson is Football's equivalent to Bill Buckner.
I wouldn't go that far. I still think you give credit to Butler on the INT where as Buckner's was completely on him. Plus Buckner was towards the end of his career when that play happened and Wilson was at the beginning and has been able to preform at a HOF level most of the time since then.

So for Mahomes and Deshaun you'd use first 4 seasons:

Mahomes: 18
Watson: 17
Wilson: 17

For Lamar Jackson, first 3 seasons:

Mahomes: 12
Jackson: 11
Watson: 11
Wilson: 11

The game has changed. With Luck and RGIII falling apart, Wilson turned out to be the best QB to join the league in all the years around him (2006-2015). I don't think anybody would argue that. But the guys before that period came into a different game. The elite guys coming in after that will probably all top or compete with Wilson's numbers.

I can't see anyone walking right in (Mahomes sat the bench) and taking over like Wilson did. The guy has never missed a game, he already holds NFL records, has won a SB, has accomplishments like...

Rookie TD record (tied Peyton)
Only QB to ever post 100 or better passer rating the first two seasons
4000/30/500 twice...nobody else once
Only Rodgers a higher career passing record
Best 4th Q numbers

I don't see anyone challenging that.

No.

Peyton threw 28 TDs in his rookie season; Wilson threw 26.

Watson posted 103.0 and 103.1 his first two seasons.

Career passing ratings:
Mahomes 108.7
Deshaun 104.5
Rodgers 103.9
Wilson 101.7

Wrong, Peyton had 26.

Work with me here...

When Wilson had his consecutive 100 ratings nobody had ever done that BEFORE.....ok?

And I am OBVIOUSLY talking about QB's with at least nine seasons of pro ball, assumed that was understood. So Mahomes/Watson not in this conversation.

Won a SB.......................................................................................................................that close to winning two
Been in the MVP talk a couple times
7 Pro Bowls
Been ranked as high as.....2....as the best player in the NFL
Only 4000/30/500 in a season, done it twice
Has never sat on a bench or missed a game
Without question the best passer of the running QB's
Will pass Joe Montana next season in career passing TD's

Why would anyone even want to debate his greatness, be negative about it, here we have an all time great, one of the best we have seen. I have seen them all since Johnny U, and have never seen anyone better. And I'm a Niner fan.

Costing a team a Super Bowl, thus imploding the potential dynasty by throwing a pick at the goal line = -108.

Easily Tom Brady and Joe Montana for sure.

Joe Montana may have led the entire league in completion percentage 4 times in his first 9 years but he only went 8 for 9 at the 60% level, what a loser

Here are examples of some QB's that were in the league at least 9 years & had 3 consecutive seasons of 100 rating.

Steve Young- 1991 to 1994

Peyton Manning- 2004 to 2006 & 2012 to 2014

Rodgers- 2009 to 2014

Brady- 2015 to 2017

Not sure why you tried to go with QB's that were in the league at least 9 years. Doesn't matter though. You're wrong in saying Wilson was the first QB to have 3 consecutive years of 100 rating with at least 9 years in the league.

And before you try to move the goal posts you mentioned nothing about a QB starting for 9 seasons. Just that a QB was in the league for 9 years. But even that doesn't matter because Manning & Brady were starters for at least 9 seasons before they had their 3 consecutive years with a 100 rating.
