The Fuck is for this...

I have family in the boonies, if I say the name only me, and I think dk and strange love will know where.

back on topic. Their steelers fans and when mentioned when they were here 2 years ago that they wanted to see Steelers/Seahawks at Lumin.

They'll still need to wait then, because I believe this game is a road game for the Hawks.

Everyone does know that this is just the start, don't they?

Within the next 2 to 4 years we will see the pre-season either entirely eliminated, and the schedule will be expanded to 18 or possibly even 19 games.

My issue with this is 2 fold. 1 you are going to more 8___ 9 teams make the playoffs which makes the po season less.

And injuries are going to cripple teams making the league go extra hard on protecting QBs. Flags flags flags

Can they arrange with the networks to NOT show games between two teams that have already been eliminated except maybe in local markets? Truly local markets, not regional markets.

More games will just lead to more teams just showing up to play out the season. Who cares about meaningless games?

One of my big problems with the 18 or 19 game schedule expansion (the additional expansion is coming!) is the injury issue, particularly in regards to the concussions.
It has been shown that the brain injury risk increases at an exponential rate with the more impacts the player endures. Thus, more games = even more brain impact issues per game.

I don't mind seeing more football (my Dad is thrilled with the opportunity to see more games!) but for all of their rhetoric on the issue this just shows that More $$$ >>>>>> player safety.

They charged full price for preseason games so "more money" I am not sure of as they are removing a preseason game are they not?

From my point of view they played 4 Preseason and 16 in season games for a total of 20 full ticket price games. Now they will have 3 Preseason and 17 in season games for a total of 20 full ticket priced games. Am I missing something?

On a side note this might bump 2022 salary cap up higher than it would have gone also, so maybe a little more breathing room on 2022 cap. But we all know that this will also increase ticket prices even though they wont go down this season with the lower cap price... wtf. When the NFL does it's TV deals they get the same shit for the Preseason as they do the regular season if I am not mistaken but it's not like i have ever seen what the TV deals entail.

I believe tv deals give more for a regular game than preseason, as it gains more eyes. Also more people go to regular games than preseason, so more beer, food ect sold would be my guess.

hmm every preseason game I have been two was always sold out, but maybe across the NFL it's not like it is in Seattle.

Do you have proof the TV deals give them more money? From what all I have seen it's a package deal and this TV deal is all ready in place so "no new revenue". If you got a link please share.

No reason but $$$ for 17 games. Every other aspect of it is a negative.
Every year Apple puts out a new phone that cost over $1000 and millions of people buy one like it was there civic duty.

After 43 years the NFL will add a game to the schedule. And you can still watch your home team play for free in HD ...but the NFL is all about the money.

Good Lord.

Read my additional post regarding player safety, particularly concussion safety and address that point.

P.S. I've never owned an Apple phone, so.......???

So for the 17th game, is this how it turned out? Cards/49ers pick up another home game?

Hawks on the road against the Steelers
Rams on the road against the Ravens
Cards at home against Browns
49ers at home against Bengals
