Wilson has never had a Gronk, Kelce, Kittles or a Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Randy Moss. And that BEASTMODE thing didn't help.

In my opinion he is in the top 10 all time right now. The best of the run/pass guys.

Wilson the only QB to pass for 4000 yards, rush for over 500 yards and score 30 or more TD's in a season and he has done that twice and 15 yards shy of doing it three times.

Wilson tied the rookie TD record.

Wilson the only QB to start his career with two 100 or better passer ratings seasons.

No QB has more pro bowls. 4000 yard seasons, 30 plus td seasons, 100 plus QB ratings,, wins and starts in their first nine seasns combined. And rushing yards.

Wilson never sat on a bench, he walked right in and took over. Has started every game for nine years, the most wins ever in nine seasons.

We all get the era thing, but that doesn't take away the fact Wilson has done things never seen before. He is the total package, he can run, smart, great arm and a winner.

I'm a HUGE Wilson fan.

All the things that you are listing haven't been done before and good for Wilson for doing them. But they are only being done now because of how the NFL changed the way the game was played. They will be done again. Stats are easier to put up these days.

Put it this way.
In 1983 the average team passed for 3200 yards 22 TD's and 22 INT's
In 2020 the average team passed for 3850 yards 27 TD's and 12 INT's.

35 years ago passing for 4000 meant something. Today it is just slightly better than average.

His stats are inflated compared to old school QB's.

Long and short is Russell is a great QB. He retires tomorrow and I would still argue in 5 years he deserves a HOF nod. But don't let those record stats fool you too much. He isn't the best QB in the first 9 seasons in league history. He just has played in an era where passing has never been easier to do.

It is like trying to compare Barry Bonds 73 HR's to Babe Ruth's 60 HR season. It's not comparable. Babe Ruth hit 60 HR's in a season in a year where the league average PER TEAM was 58. When Bonds hit is 72, the league average was 182 HR's per team. Bonds season is still great. One of the greatest ever. But just because he accumulated larger stats doesn't mean that his was the single greatest power hitting performance in the history of the sport. Ruth's year kills him and its not even close.

Someone is definitely stirring the pot...

I doubt anything happens this year though.
Well yeah someone is stirring the pot. That would be the media for the most part. Winning makes everyone happy as a rule and falling short creates doubt. I'm not even considering that RW will be moved any time soon because that's just not going to happen. Down the road next contract.....maybe.

I think Metcalf you can almost put in that category if not already.

Are we to believe that Russell Wilson is not in the top 10 of "Time to throw" stat every year?

I don't blame RW.....they don't invest in the OL which is in turn investing in him.

Yes, though also TB's rookie 1st-round tackle played really well. Russ's tweets might indicate he wants guys like this around him:

Though that's gonna be tough after they shipped out the 1st picks for J Adams.
Seattle definitely needs to address the OL in the draft.

But we need a pass rush and secondary (Fs and Cb) so where do draw the line?
You need to protect your franchise QB or you're going to end up trading him and starting somebody like Geno Smith at QB....

So he wants awesome players around him. who the hell doesn't? Wilson's problem is that he's awesome and the team he plays on will make the playoffs so it's a late first rounder. So maybe what the Seahawks should do is dump wilson, pick up Winston, suck for a couple of years, and then sign Drew Brees! Problem solved!

Oh I know...

But if we don't get upgrades on defense, we are no better than last year.

Another one and done.

You know what I mean?

Wilson has won more games than anyone in his nine seasons, this has nothing to do with era. He has been in 8 pro bowls in his nine seasons, once again era a non factor. His combo of running and passing on a whole other level than anyone ever,

Wilson is second all time when it comes to passer rating if talking those with at least nine seasons only Rodgers is superior.

Bottom line is taking everything into consideration nobody has done it better in those first nine seasons of a career.

I have seen Unitas, Tittle, Montana, Marino, they had nothing on Russell Wilson actually not all that close because Wilson is a better athlete.

Well, in particular, if he's complaining about getting hit -> he wants awesome O-linemen around him.

Last year the Seahawks went LB and DE in the first 2 rounds.

In 2019? DE and S.

In 2018 RB and DE.

In 2017 DT and C.

In 2016 OT and DT.

In 2015 DE and WR.

They don't put a priority on the OL is the point. They could, they choose not to.

I hear you but those where needs than.

Last year, we lost Clowney and still had a meh pass rush in 2019 and we got killed by RBS like Kamara and such. Taking Brooks and Taylor addresses those needs.
