I as well have a hard time seeing Carr as a significant "upgrade". Washington could be that desperate, Bears not so much if the raiders demand a 1st.

Wentz isn't worth a 3rd.

Anyone GM with a brain would have to get a 1st from the Eagles to take him off their hands.

Wentz's Contract (and Eagles' 2021 cap situation)
The deal is worth up to $144 million through salary escalators. The guarantees included a $16,367,683 signing bonus and a $30 million option bonus. The signing bonus is prorated on Philadelphia's salary cap from 2019 through 2023.

The guy is being overpaid and can't play.

WFT could use him, Chicago could use him, etc.

He'd be a major upgrade for those two teams.

I don't doubt that Wentz would be an upgrade over our two current QBs, and this even takes into account his rapid decline in play the past two seasons. Altho that's less a compliment to Wentz as opposed to my negative take on Trubisky and Foles. But therein also lies the rub for me. I just don't think he'd be worth what the Eagles will likely demand in a trade. Wentz today strikes me as a QB who needs to sit on the bench for a year or two before getting back into the the thick of things. But with Pace and Nagy's jobs on the line, they might panic and be willing to give the Eagles what they want.

I think Howie is by far one of the worst GMs in the league. He sucks at the draft and his cap “genius” reputation by some has been exposed as reckless and simply kicking the can down the road as I (and of course many others here) have been saying for years...BUT...he is IMO a genius when it comes to trades. I think he is the best GM in the league at trading. Maybe not so much lately but he always seems to get way more for his players than anyone thought was likely and clear cap space as well Or bring in players at a decent price.

I still think Wentz is the Eagles QB next year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Howie surprised people with how much he gets in return if they do end up trading him.

I would love 2 first rounders but will settle for a 1st and 2nd.
Wait...I was just joking with the last post but 2 first rounders for Carr? seriously?

My thought is besides Watson, all these QBs are potential trade bait for very good reason. Somehow the Eagles or Raiders may get something because GMs are just that stupid or desperate or both but both guys are seriously overvalued as starters in this league. Most of the rookies coming out of college have more upside.

Carr is a borderline top 10-12 QB in the League. He had his best season passing the ball.

67.3%, 256ypg, 7.9ypa, 27 TD's, 9 INT's. That would have made the Bears or WFT, heck even the 49ers a lot better than they actually were this past season.

No rookie is giving you that.
