just in shock. Still cant believe it

the Browns were down to their last lineman! lol....Baker said he met the guy playing left guard at the end today!!!

The Steelers just did not take this game seriously until it was too late.

Baker played amazingly. He played out of his mind and has cemented himself as a true franchise QB.

just cant say anything else.

From 0-16 to 11-5 and a playoff win. in 3 years.

Congrats Browns fans. What a win.

Looks like you got your franchise qb too.

Browns played well but man Ben basically handed them the game with that first quarter. I can live with ints if it is a great play by the defense but the bad decisions/poor throw ints kill me and that's all ben was doing.

Steelers must move on from him. Brees and Brady looked much better than him when they were 38

They need a viable alternative first though.

Right now they don’t have it.

They are going to get raped by the Chiefs.....that pass defense is going to see a NEXT LEVEL QB.
I ain't taking a damn thing for granted. there's been times this season where i think my Chiefs have gotten fat and happy with 1 Superbowl win. I say BETTER bring their 'A' game and don't take a damn thing for granted...

You should try actually addressing what has actually been said instead of making shit up. Find where I said Baker would be blamed if the Browns lose. I said Baker needs to play well. he needs to show that he can play well when things aren't aligned the way he likes them. That's what true franchise qb's do. It's how they become true franchise qb's.

If the team goes out and melts down and Baker is part of the meltdown...then the questions about whether or not he is a franchise qb will continue and probably get louder.

If they lose, but he plays well...there will be fewer questions.
FYI, I addressed exactly what you said. and here it is again. any reasonable person would have understood under the circumstances if Baker had an off night, and the game did not define him. But I guess we don't have to discuss that narrative.

Doesn't matter. For every adverse situation there is a first time in history that someone had to deal with it. Hell, we've had college qbs have to deal with not having their play caller available this year. I'd say that, on some level, every qb has dealt with this.

I get that some of you Browns fans are preparing your excuses in case he doesn't play well and that if he does play well (and especially if the Browns win) you'll all be on here listing all of the things he and the Browns had to overcome and planning a parade for him.

Personally, I hope you get to do all of that. I'll be pulling for the Browns. I'm just pointing out that if he doesn't play well, the questions will persist and very few outside of Cleveland will be interested in the excuses.
Yeah it would just be crazy to list that they overcame anything in the win. No HC, down many assistants, 5th string guard, 3rd string RT. Playing in a stadium team has not won in nearly 20 years.

Just a run of the mill W.

Ya gotta love this forum.

I doubt it. Chiefs doesn't blow anyone out and browns can control top if they stick to the run. Chiefs likely win but i think it is a close game

honestly my biggest concern is that they go from one of the, if not the best guard in the league in Joel Bitonio- to some guy I have never heard of.

Bitonio has COVID
Their backup guard- Harrison was lost for the season
Their backup backup- Nick Harris was lost for the season

so now they are starting some guy that hasnt gotten a snap all year that I have never heard of for the first time against that Steelers defense. Thats not going to be good for business.

I mean- basically no practice for 2 weeks and missing your head coach and play caller also scares the shit out of me.
and that guy got hurt and they literally went with their 5th string guard....and 3rd string RT. Never mind our top 3 CBs were all out (maybe 4?).

But, yeah, just another run-of-the-mill W to a certain someone.

Huge W!!

we'll know soon enough. Browns Oline is kinda beat up and i'm interested in seeing how their secondary covers Kelce and Hill. I know anything can happen, though...

the best part of this season has been that the found their coach for the future, they found their identity as a team, Baker cemented himself as their QB....

they have plenty of draft capital, and cap space and what looks like a pretty damn solid GM to keep adding to this team.

Its fair to say the Browns are back. Teams that go from shit to championship basically dont exist. The Browns gotta hit the same milestones that all these teams do on the way to becoming a contender.

they hit a lot of those milestones this year and the future is bright. WE havent been able to say that for a LONG LONG time.
Obviously the win is huge but no doubt so nice we didn't start talking a few weeks ago about who should be our coach and QB next season.

He'll likely be around at least one more year. They don't have anyone on the roster behind him worth starting and will be picking too late in the draft to get an instant starter QB. Unless they find a way to jump up, they should pursue someone like Darnold IMO (or even Josh Rosen). They don't have the cap space to chase a new starter in free agency either, unless it's a retread like Tyrod, Fitz, Dalton, etc).

great effort by WFT tonight @tlance

Refs kind of robbed them of an exciting finish by that shitty call on 3rd down. Should have been a catch and a fumble
Totally agree. That Heinicke was damn impressive for what I imagine what was expected of him.

D ewe saw yesterday might give up 60+ to KC. Return of Ward and Johnson would help a ton. We still might need 50 to win. Though with KC's run d......?

Haven't heard but possible O-line is in tact for the game. Conklin not returning has to make one think he could be out, though.
