Why Lewis stood at the goal line waiting for Hurts to run into him, instead of moving forward for the tackle?

This defense is soft & pathetic!

The defense is not going to change week 15th. Awful against the run, dumb penalties and will give up a ton of points. Linebackers get blown off the ball and can’t get off tackles. Best shot is to get turnovers. I don’t understand why teams even pass against us honestly. And our offense fails again to not get an opening TD. 0-15.

only topped by #54 a week earlier. Niners on the cowboys two yard line, Smith 3 yards deep in the end zone and retreats when the TE comes across to block him.

I actually think this guy is worse than Bradie James. Tony Casillas was on a local Dallas sports talk radio last week and described Jaylon's play as the best tackle LB 10 yards down field. So true

Did Hurts step out of bounds and Lewis was just the closest guy to him?

Now I can't remember the name but I do recall a Dallas DB actually stepping out of the way of a RB, a few years ago. No it wasn't Deion.

It wasnt a sack Hurts ran for positive yardage. He simply accidentally stepped on out of bounds line running into endzone (unforced)

This is the only play where Hurts ran into the EZ. That's why I'm asking where did Lewis contact Hurts? At the 4 or EZ? Did Lewis get a free sack credited to him?

It was indeed overturned and not a TD. I'm not sure why Lewis got credit for the sack though. I can't imagine he was the closest Cowboy or determined to be the one that ran him out of bounds. That's odd

As I said I didn't watch the beginning so I have no idea how the play went down.

Lewis was credited for the sack because the play lost yardage and he was the closest player to him. Had Hurts not stepped out of bounds it was a TD and he wasn't touched when he ran across the goal line if I remember correctly.

Yeah they are the same. I think he will be about the same caliber as Carson as a starter in the NFL
