Cut Alex Smith, draft a rookie qb, and keep Haskins is the prudent thing to do.

Alex Smith is leading a dreadful team absolutely nowhere, and Haskins and the rookie on rookie contracts is probably less money even WITH the dead cap money that would be owed to Smith.
Whatever savings that could br had should go to some motherfucking linebackers who can stuff the run, or some olinemen that aren’t turnstiles.

Fuck this fucking team.

Do you propose DH and a rookie qb?
I propose a rookie QB and Allen If Smith won’t negotiate. DH is history here. And if the rumors about DH have any truth, I don’t want him anywhere near my Rookie QB that I brought in to replace him.

The cap hit releasing DH and CDC is 20 in dead cap space . Resigning Allen will cost a lot more then the 650, 000 he is being paid now . Drafting a rookie will cost about 10 mil as well so we are in a pickle thanks to brucifer !

Now imagine if we simply signed KC ?

dad, that is heresy to say "signed KC!" :noidea: He sucked, he didn't have the ability to get any better, he couldn't use his legs at all .... don't you remember all those things? :D

No offense Sportster and hopefully none taken however, you 2 keep posting this shit looking for someone to bite. KC hasn't been here in a while and he is not going to save this franchise. (he couldn't before) Once his 2 year contract (2nd with Vikings) is over, he will have made over $195M. At that kind of earnings, we should see SB wins next to his name and there are not. I'm just not one to over hype a starting QB who has made a ton of money with absolutely nothing to show for it. That's all.

Thank you for interpreting what I was implying .... you got it wrong but you have a right to at least take a guess.

Name the last Redskin QB that was a good as Cousins and as I said at the time. Let me know when we get one as good.

Personally I am happy for him. He got out of this shit show and he should love Bruce for being so smart and and helping him to escalate Cousins salary.

It's well past time to get off of the butt-hurt left in the wake of the Kirk Cousins fiasco. However, since that seems remote and the challenge is currently to name the QB's who have been "better" than him since he left, here's the list.

Since use of the word "better" is subjective, here's a list of all the QB's that have been here since Kirk Cousins:

1. A. Smith
2. J. Johnson
3. C. McCoy
4. M. Sanchez
5. C. Keenum
6. D. Haskins
7. K. Allen

Anybody want to guess what they all ( except A. Smith) had in common relative signing Kirk Cousins?

In terms of cost/production they were or currently are, all "better!"

( I can do this all day! Time to let it go)

This is true...but of course the caveat is only because Bruce and our front office...completely screwed the pooch with competency, wanting to have their cake and eat it too, with Cuz’ contract. We could have had him at a very reasonable price, all things considered. And well before the double franchise tag nonsense.

That said, agree that it is water over the bridge at this point. But let us ‘not forget history, lest we are doomed to repeat it’.

I think that is likely where Sportster and Dad are coming from...and in this, I do not think they are wrong.

Eggzactly. Cousin's isn't the best in the NFL but he is competent. He is at least the best since Joe Theismann here in Washington. The situation was mishandled by Allen. They could have signed him for less ... McCloughan was part of that also. They screwed the pooch.

Meanwhile I was being told that others who have NEVER become starters were his equal. They might not have been right about that. I can't even remember their names because ummmmm ... they weren't that good.

Had he stayed the WTF would be better but not great because the overall team and organization is bad. For those talking about mishandling ... it took 4 years for Cousins to get the starting job full time. I am not sure if that was mishandling or development. I know that Griffin being here also didn't help and clearly Cousins is the better QB out of the two.

Long story short I do not know if Haskins is the guy. Doesn't look it to me but everyone has a right to their opinion. I just wish they would get a guy ... coach him and pay him if he is above average.

Best since theisman?!?!

Rypien and Doug Williams, both super bowl winners, beg to differ with you.

Brad Johnson and Mark Brunell had at least one great season apiece between them too.

hell, even RG3 was electric for most a season until Haloti Ngata got em in the knee, and the asshole Shanahans ruined him.

You can make the case for the super bowl winners. But Johnson and noodle arm certainly not
