IBLM protestors literally took over a part of Seattle for a month this summer and nobody did shit even when people started getting murdered in there. A giant mob went through suburban Vancouver WA this week trying to keep people awake. Philly was getting looted for three days this week with barely any police interference.

Are you saying there were no flash bangs, pepper spray, etc in Seattle leading up to and during the Seattle "occupy?" You'd be wrong, so bad example. I'd have to read up more on the others you mention to see what you characterize as "minimal" police involvement.

Just a few posts up in this thread there were people marching to the polls and got sprayed .

Here in Columbus during the George Floyd protests, people were peacefully marching up High Street (which was closed up to the OSU Campus) and the police ambushed the group from behind and pepper sprayed and knocked people down. They also pepper sprayed three members of the press AFTER they identified themselves as press at the same time. The next day, they pepper sprayed a double amputee after knocking him out of his wheelchair.

I'd wager there are many more stories like my anecdotes than there are like yours.

Yeah there was some of that during the “Let’s loot Gucci” phase of the unrest. The cops literally abandoned a precinct in that zone though. Same thing happened in Minny.

I get what you’re saying, I really do, but by and large many protest groups have taken over large sections of cities this year and in many cases municipal government has either directly stopped police from interfering or, in some cases, have even joined in the fun (see: DC, NYC). To say it’s a double standard when we’ve got six months of nationwide examples to suggest otherwise is ridiculous.

The fact there are anecdotes for both instances suggests in itself that it’s not a double-standard.
