If we win the division and and win a playoff game its a successful season. You guys dont care if we get to the playoffs to have a chance to win a playoff game. How is that being a fan? That's being a hater.

whether you win a playoff game or not you are still a losing team dean . and we aint winning a playoff game with this team as constituted

if this team goes to the playoffs at 9 wins or more then we have a different dynamic . the case can be made its deserved and real 8 wins or less are not really deserving at all

right now at 1-5 , i see 2 more wins out there , just because, but we very well lose the rest of our games and i doubt we will be favored in any

we just arent good and what i dont understand is why a football guy like yourself cant see the talent on this team and understand this is a huge rebuild

you like many fans always fall for the hype and get let down year after year . if we cant compete with the seattles or ravens we arent a real playtoff team

No they don’t. This team has zero shot at winning. If we win the division it is because everybody else is injured and sucks.

and i bet you will find posts and which i say go to win every game

i dont agree with tanking but in our situation we should be evaluating our young talent so we can design a plan to get players who fit what we want to do going forward

if we win games in the process then great

but stop selling me snake oil and calling it the miracle cure

A playoff game means a team has reached a certain standard . Like actually being a winning team . That’s my standard .

Now if being a Loser is your standard you are free to have it but it doesn’t reflect excellence which is my standard

Again you can embrace low standards and achievement but I have higher standards and I expect more

If mediocrity is the standard you keep then you will be end up being mediocre .

I expect and demand more but you are free to chest thump over urine and pretend it’s wine

I am not and it doesn’t make me less of a fan from demanding and expecting excellence

I'm a Browns fan...I know all about this. No, you never root for your team to losing but you know there is no point in winning 4-6 games when you see how bad the team is with your own eyes. At some point, you have to accept that a high draft pick will be much better than "competing for a playoff spot" or in Washington's case right now..."being a division winner in a historically bad division".

What is better for the future?
Winning the division with a 6-10 record somehow and you still don't have your future, franchise QB or going 2-14 and drafting Trevor Lawrence? Easy answer. You don't root for your team to lose, it just happens so you accept it to a certain point. I accepted it for 15-20 years. If you get a star QB you will minimize those years of being either a bad team, a below average team or an average team bc at this point this team will never be better than an average team the way it is constructed. So tell me why you would rather this team make the playoffs...you want to become the Indiana Pacers of the NFL? Make the playoffs every year, you never improve, never get a top pick in order to draft a star...accept it.

I disagree, their are playoff upsets #6 seeds have advanced in the playoffs. High draft picks bust all the time. In the NFC East anything could happen this year, so no I will not root for my team to lose. You don't need a franchise Qb to advance in the playoffs.

Funny thing is the one win was a give away by the Eagles. We have seen nothing close except a one point loss to the winless Giants. I have said over and over three 20 drives and two 40 yard scoring drives are not anything to crow about. The WTF are a bad football team.

Yes...the six seed usually has ten plus wins. We would be the 4 seed.
