RR seems to be beginning to change his tune regarding being competitive in a lousy division in yesterday’s Presser instead of his ‘all R &D’ this year.

Might be that Haskins is on a shorter leash than we know. Seems reasonable to me if Haskins shows no appreciable growth for multiple games in a row.

One thing, playing Haskins, even if he’s not good all year, does give you an idea of his value on the open market for a trade.

As I said in another post, for all we know RR might be required to play Haskins and continue to talk sweet things about him to the media since our owner has hugged Haskin's nuts since day one.

Yep. I have said this team had to earn my fandom . The redskins are the team I rooted for , not whatever DC team name there is . He won his first four games actually.
1- he beat Arizona. Carolina scorEd 38, forced two turnovers, and rushed for 173 yards.
2- he beat the Texans. The Texans only scored ten points and turned it over twice, and Allen lost three fumbles. They won in spite of Allen.
3- he beat the Jags. The Panthers scored 34 points, 7 of which by the defense and Minshew had three turnovers. Allen there for 180 yards but Carolina rushed for 285 yards, including a 55 yard game winner by Bonnafin.
4- he beat the Buccaneers. The Panthers scored 37 points but TB had 7, yes 7 turnovers.

Then he went 1-1.

Then he lost 8 straight.

I will tell you what. Allen can win if the other team completely sucks. If Haskins loses to a team that really sucks, or loses when we rush for nearly 300 yards, then you can think about Allen.

RR totally did a reversal about Haskins from Sunday to Monday. He watched the game film and a light bulb went off. I want haskins to do well but you have to put the team first.

BS it wouldn’t have had an effect on it . OTAs and preseason give you the chance to work the bugs out and get timing set before playing meaningful games . Right now we are pretty much at preseason game 3 .

He also had a bad team. He knows the offense better than Haskins right now. Since there wasn't a preseason you could of made the argument that Allen could of started this year. RR gave haskins the chance b/c of his draft status and so far he has failed. Its not that crazy for making the switch right now.

So pre season would of solved him starring down Wr's or throwing high and inaccurate passes and throwing into tight coverage? I thought he would be better than this. I guess there was a reason why he fell in the draft. I have rewatched every game this year. The oline hasnt been great but when they gave him time his passes were still way off. He should of had 4 ints last Sunday but Wright saved one by knocking it out of the defenders hands. Simply not impressed so far. I didn't expect him to dominate but play better that this. He has the physical talent but he is not there in his decision making.. Of course it can improve.

We are 1st place right now with a bad QB.
