Still had time to get the ball out and looked like Thomas was wide open on the left. Well, after second look maybe not open. The defender was just watching the qbs eyes. Had Haskins looked at Thomas the defender might’ve covered
He was open

Now we start to see
Christian was off balance at the snap when the PRer broke inside, he lost the and fight throughout. In an effort to cut off the inside rush Christian got too far right and lost when the PRer spun and went in the opposite direction. Not a good play at any point. Unless I missed it Haskin's never looked at Thomas. I think he was open and worst case Haskin's could have thrown the ball over his head for an incompletion.

Inexperience here. Looking off defenders is key to a QBs success. He has to influence defenders. He may know in his mind where he thinks he should go but much like a point guard look away ... you know where you are going to go .... you can always turn back where you thought you were going to go. Part of learning.

If Chase doesn’t play in order to heal properly, I’m completely on board. Right decision.

If you play too soon on a hurt groin you risk being hurting it worse and being out for the year.

I figured. Never pulled a groin myself (lol) but had tendinitis and all I could do was rest to heal it.
