Who had no cap room?
Cuban?
If so, no way he could create any?
Jones Jr and Kelly O dont play for free.
The difference between them and Dragic isnt that drastic.
He just made a decision that in this instance case didnt work out for him.
why I said in hindsight a bad move...and a bad one for Riley to offer. Riley just got saved by Cuban's mistake.

Duncan Robinson man. 24 points on 8 freaking shots. Just awesome to see.

Heat have done a remarkable job finding guys in the draft/UFA over the last couple years. Herro is going to be really good.

Them and the Raptors are the 2 best at it right now

Nunn is one of three finalists for rookie of the year. Him not getting minutes right now just proves how deep the Heat are.

Nunn will have 0 problem finding work in the NBA for years to come.

How’s your Cavs tanking to get higher draft picks working out?

His minutes are getting taken up by a 20 year old rookie. That's scary.

As for the Cavs, I'd take Bam, Duncan and Herro over any of the Cavs young players. Although Sexton had a nice sophomore season.

Yeah pretty much. Bam is so fucking good. Bam, Herro, Robinson is a nice young foundation. And you know Riley will be able to find a way to get another max level guy in there at some point. Future looks good, present looks good. Honestly wouldn't surprise me to see them in the ECF or Finals this year.

Nunn should focus on becoming more of a PG then he'll have a role on the team. Problem with him now is if he isn't scoring then he is useless. Doesn't do anything else well

It is a trend I think will only become more common.

As long as 1 of your guards can defend wings, it makes a lot of sense from an offensive prospective to have multiple creators.

Lowry + Van Vleet
Lillard + McCollum
Harden + Russ

Etc.

Caruso + KCP

could they? sure......and while in hindsight looks like a mistake, easily understandable why they didn't make the deal. also wonder why Riley would offer it (as opposed to the Whiteside deal he made).

I am not questioning the deal as much as I am saying that had Dallas pulled the trigger, it doesn’t mean Dragic would have had to be a back up.

I really like a 3 guard rotation of Dragic, Curry and Doncic. That is nasty.

I also think Spo is severely underrated.

I agree. Over the years we’ve (Heat fans) have questioned some many moves hes made, but hind-site is always 20/20

I honestly think it is going to be a lot closer than you all believe.

Unless 1 decides to go cheap to a winner.

I think it will be fairly close, also.
I think both will go to highest bidder.

Bam yes. Duncan and Herro over Sexton? Not so sure about that at this point. sexton was pretty good as a 19-year-old rookie and was having a solid sophomore season. also has a tremendous work ethich which cannot really be taught. Robinson is 26 so a bit of a difference. Does look like they could regret the Garland pick.....also a little too early to say whether Porter wont be better than Duncan/Herro.

It's interesting. Cannot say I've studied or looked into their D and how that might play out.
