Whose opinion matters more?

Brunson or McBride?

I think 10 or 11 guys opinion matters more than 2 or 3 which could have been the case here. Also didn’t help thibs if the front offense didn’t care about the offensive system he ran which was Brunson hold the ball for 17-18 seconds on most possessions

Denver did that better than anyone was going to. The Thunder are more than ready.

Dude, you’re divisional rival teams, you know WTF the other does for breakfast

This is against a team you see what 2 times a year , and who played, who was injured .?

Wow

Wow

The familiarity thing is an advantage for the less talented team.

This point does not favor the Pacers.

Bad move IMO but there are a lot of good available coaches. Could be why they made the move.
could backfire but Thibs like so many (and, yes, includes some of those you mention being out there)....give him talent he can win. Don't and he wont.

Thanks capt oblivious

LOL.

You are using the fact that they aren’t familiar as some type of edge for the Pacers.

It isn’t.

Of course that should be obvious to anybody.

Not you though apparently.

Because you might replace him with a lesser coach who is not like most coaches?

Guys seriously…

Y’all taken this coach shitt way too far

What effect does a coach really have with any team these days

Y’all know I’m old school, and I’m steadfast on doin whatever it takes to win a game

In today’s game, doesnt take much to see what the game is. Up the court as fast as you can draw the defense down low have a guy open beyond perimeter and shoot an uncontested 3. That is today’s game

Hardly any defensive strategy is used, geezus Carlyle used the most basic form, deny the inbound pass from the start , press press press in every game, and it worked …

Spolstra may be the only coach left who really has somethin up his sleeve

while I think some take coaching too far in importance what do you mean I do? Just told you I think many are the same. Give them talent they can win. Don't and they wont.

Even agree Spoelstra among those who are above this level. Larry Brown a fav, too.

If I’m correct, that wasn’t directed at you. General statement

What?

You are the one who blamed the terrible Knicks record on Fizdale when they had very little in the way of talent.

We told you no coach could win with that roster. You said it was his fault because players didn’t box out and make free throws

You contradict yourself all the time.

While I happen to agree coaches get way too much credit/blame he is definitely a walking contradiction.

You absolutely do.

The vast majority of coaches are competent. They will win roughly proportional to the talent on the roster. That was Fiz and Hornacek.

Some coaches actually take away value, and some add it. Thibs has added value everywhere he has been.

Coaches who inherit teams with bad rosters tend not to get rehired. Coaches who inherit good rosters tend to get multiple chances.

Most often it has very little to do with their actual ability to coach.

Nope.

The Knicks got exposed.

Thibs and Rick Carlisle did not decide the outcome of the series.

The coach takes responsibility for all the goings on on the court

You should know this better than anyone

Don’t give me Thibs didn’t miss the foul shots, or thibs made Bumsons dumbazz decisions with the ball…

He’s the coach, the Pilot ! He controls all!

That’s just the way it is. If he’s too dam afraid to think his players won’t like him cause he demands perfection on the court .

FUCK EM
