Day is benefitting from the work and stacked roster Urban Meyer created, and a rather mediocre conference on the national scale. Day's true success will be known in about his year 3 of head coach. I don't think he can sustain this momentum and success.

We will check back in 2021 and 2022. My guess is Buckeye is still rolling. You saw the same thing with Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma. Everyone says you don’t want to follow a legend but they usually leave you with every ingredient necessary to be successful

Still not sold on Riley. He's still running on Stoops' success and he benefits greatly from a weak conference. I think Riley could end up sliding down upon the next cfb season and beyond.

I believe Ryan Day has already taken the program up a notch above where Urban Meyer left it. And, like Dabo Swinney at Clemson, I believe he will have staying power.

And having someone from the Pac-12 calling the Big 10 "a rather mediocre conference" falls somewhere in the realm of the fantastic.

Riley was Stoop's top recruiter, so he's essentially playing with his own kids. The Sooners may take a step back for a year or two, but should remain very competitive. Oregon may take a big step back this year, too, but I think they are building towards a long-term competitive advantage in the Pac.

Even a step back for OU is still competing at a very high level.

Well you said year 3 so I pointed towards a coach who just finished year 3 and had his team in the CFP. There are a lot of benefits toward following a legend. Sure, it scares some people off, but Alabama doesn't want a HC who is scared of expectations. Neither does Ohio State or Oklahoma, etc.

Their dropping those sports like flys with budget constraints. Stanford just dropped 11 varsity sports.

If that keeps up, they will eventually get down to sports that other people do care about & will no longer be the "Conference of Champions." Actually, they do hold their own in baseball & softball - I have to give them credit for that.

I don't think Oregon is going to live up to some of the hype they are getting in 2020 but I don't think they will take a huge step back either. Oregon is looking at 2021 and 2022 as the years they will take a step forward IMO.

Because of the Big12.

Oklahoma probably makes the CFP, and they'll lose yet again in the first round.

Yeah, but if Oklahoma makes the CFP, then that means the Pac gets left out, again.

The SEC owns college baseball now and it’s not even close.

Not even close.
SEC has 2 of the last 5 that means 3 were other.

go 10 and its
SEC 5
Pac 3
2 other

go 15
SEC 6
Pac 5
4 other

these arent dominating numbers and are in face close.

That's way over-simplifying it and you know it.
