By the way, if you have a Crock-Pot, it can do a far better job then the top of the stove or in the oven and you run it all day for pennies, not to mention that mear will come out really tender and tasty...Just saying

I marinade it overnight in pineapple juice. It breaks it down & makes it more tender. Then marinade it during the day with whatever I'm making, teriyaki, etc.

But I'll try that. How long do you set it for? On low?

I usually set it at medium... Cook real good in about two hours. I thought it cooked really fast, but might depend on the cut of meat you have... My mom God love her, always bought cheap stuff, Im the opposite, I get the best and enjoy what I eat

Well says you, but i have put mustard on my fish, then rolled it seasoned salt, pepper and cornmeal, then deep fried it. The mustard gets cooked and gives it a fantastic taste. You dont know what you have missed

Stovetop? Oven? WTF? Grilling is the only way to cook steak.
While I prefer to grill it you can pan sear it and then bake it and get just as good results.
