Then explain to me what the difference is between August/September to December/January?

There's no guarantee that it will be doable then. We know it isn't doable for the OOC games.

This'll eventually lead to canceling the season.

Ivy league set the trend back at march madness. They canceled their tourney, other teams followed then they just canceled the whole thing.

Ivy league moves football to spring, Power 5 conferences reduce schedule, the whole thing will eventually cancel.

There's issues with being a conference schedule only.

So non-con is bad in August and early September. But if you make it to the CFP non con is OK in January?

Or you wait until Spring to start the season. So, 4 months is really going to change everything? Look at what 4 months has gotten us now.

If somehow mordaciously a vaccine for a virus is found before January when spring season would start, which would be world record setting time to find a vaccine to a virus, then what? You going to require and demand college athletes take the vaccine?

Nope.

This thing has blown up and it cant be controlled. Good luck Universities. If you want to take this thing serious, and tip toe around safety concerns by taking this virus serious, then I don't see how college sports is played in the next couple of years.

Even if you take the macho man approach and plow through the season with taking precautions, whoops, that precaution is what do you do week 1, 2, 3 when players start testing positive?

Whomp. Whomp.

Higher ed just bankrupted themselves.
Pretty sure the thought is that the season is over, so you're not bringing it back with you to spread throughout the conference. Plus, there could be treatments (not vaccine) that help (might be wishful thinking, but it's possible).

Whats the difference between Oregon and Ohio State playing to Oregon and Arizona playing? Oregon USC? Ohio State vs Rutgers?

I fail to see why confining a season to conference only helps.

And you are going to force or demand student athletes to take such vaccine? Again, there are viruses out there that took 20-30 years to find vaccines, but sure this one will be wrapped up within 12 months of it's findings.

You're keeping every conference team in one bubble.

Additionally, conference games determine who a conference champ is. OOC games are for money... Which isn't going to be there nearly as much with empty stadiums.

You don't understand the difference in Ohio State going to Minnesota instead of Oregon?

You're even dumber than we thought...and that's saying something.

If it ain't doable this year, it wont be doable next year, and likely the year after.

I don't see what changes from September 2020 to say September 2022.

Enlighten men what the difference is?

You leave the state.
You board a plane.
You play against other players you haven't been in contact with.
You play in a stadium.
You stay at a different hotel.
You're in a different community.

Obviously all P5 conferences are going to be taking the safe precautions. So the difference is an hour or three longer plane ride.

You don't think the pandemic will be any better in the next 2 years? Most countries have gotten their shit together...once the US does college sports will resume.

It's going to be there, and if this thing is as contagious and spreads as fast as they say it does, then it'll re-spread at any moment until it is eliminated.

He's a dumbass. Normally we don't have to deal with his BS until the regular season...sadly he showed up early this year.

You have no faith in a vaccine being ready by then?

And say they find a vaccine, are they going to MAKE college athletes to take the vaccine? Think about that one. What legality do they have to make you take a vaccine? Do they make college athletes take the flu vaccine? Is that mandatory? Seems like a potential future issue.

2 years? I don't know... A lot of things can happen in 2 years

Why is Trump lying by saying early next year or even this year?
Left is saying the same thing. November 3rd is the vaccine.

it's just the hypocrisy of the whole thing that is irritating. If we are going to be serious about this thing, then lets be serious. We should be overly cautious to prevent the spread until this virus is eliminated and there is a vaccine.
